Man the first Halo came out 10 years ago. Hard to believe it's been that long. I might have to pick this up

This won't be a faithful recreation unless I can melee a corpse over and over again until the infinite blood splatter causes the framerate to go to single digits. 
 
Also I remember being able to drive a warthog way, way out into the water on this level and screw around underwater in coop.

I'm more excited about this than I thought I was. I'm not a huge fan of first person shooters (especially because of how many there are lately) but there's just something that really appeals to me about Halo.

I can't wait to ride through the Silent Cartographer on co-op again.

Say what you will about Halo, but I think this is a great idea. I hate the direction the series took after the first game, but I still love Combat Evolved and cannot believe that it's been ten years since it made its debut. I'm very tempted to buy this to satisfy my nostalgia. That graphic reversion button is simply awesome. 
  
Only thing keeping me hesitant on the purchase is the Reach mutliplayer. That's killer.

I hope some of those sounds are place holders, because... they're wrong (Warthog chaingun and Magnum).

Some nice HIDs on that puma.

Also this is a game about love.

Halo is easily in my top games of all time.
 
I will buy a 360 for this.

I played Halo PC multiplayer to death and was hoping that it would be brought across into this, rather than taking a small slice of Reach multiplayer :(

I'm gonna buy this for sure, seeing as Halo 1 and Reach are the only two Halo games I actually liked, but isn't that classic assault rifle wrong? I don't remember it being so flat, nor do I remember the lever on the side.

Not even a huge halo fan and I'm excited for this, easily still the best of the series in terms of the campaign.  I still love the old sound effect for the rifle as well, so much better than the weak sounding crap they replaced it with in 3.

Scary that this came out when I was 10 years old. Also, the guy talking here is a really bad presenter. "fantastic"

I don't know, it looks pretty identical to me.

Wow I will totally be switching graphics mode back and forth at every scene change.

I love that the guy playing it plays exactly like everyone I've ever seen. Very un-PR-like gameplay.

Other than playing about 1-2 hours of the first game's PC port, I haven't played any Halo games yet. Over the course of the last year, though, I bought all of them (CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach) and I'm gonna start my Halo series playthrough soon. However, I'm already tempted to try this remake afterwards just because it looks sooooo much better!

Sure you proved that you can play a FPS on a console...

I bet you can still do that, it just takes way more blood to ruin the framerate.
