I'm more than excited for this game

Posted by Itwastuesday

you know it's Istanbul, not Constantinople

I really like the costume designs so far. The armor has some unique design flairs and the clothes are much more colorful.

The end.

Byzantium if you're old-school.

edit: Oh, they totally mention them.

This trailer sold me. Can't wait.

I love my italian cities, but this looks awesome too.

Watching this reminded me that I'm actually somewhat invested in this series, I should play it...maybe next year.

This looks sick, but now I have to choose which game I'm going to buy first Revelations or Saints Row the Third.

Posted by Donkeycow

So wait.... this game is saying that the people trying to liberate their homeland from foreign conquerers are the antagonists? I see....

Well, even old New York was once New Amsterdam

I hope the legendary armour looks good this time, It just looked downright retarded in Brotherhood.

That narrator sounds a LOT like Malik Al-Sayf from the original game.

Posted by TheHT

Neat to see a trailer showing the world from a supporting character's POV.

Posted by CJduke

This area looks boring compared to Italy :/

I wonder if he'll critisize everything Ezio does too. :)

I loved Malik and Altair's banter in AC1.

@CJduke: I got the same vibe

Two assassins, one cup.

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam. Why they changed it, I can't say.

Nice job getting it completely backwards.

...during Ottoman rule the turks called it both while the west continued to call it constantinople.

Posted by Seanakin66

@Jedted: Best exchange?

"Safety and peace, Malik."

"Your presence here deprives me of both!"

I happen to like the ways they're tying in the first game, not unlike the cues from GTA III that they stuck into GTA IV.

You know, I bet they have assassination and Constantinople in Saints Row the Third..

Posted by lockwoodx

It looks like Age of Conan. Nice to see consoles have finally caught up.

Posted by Zyte

I want this.

Posted by spilledmilkfactory

I'm glad we're finally getting away from Italy. It was beautiful in Assassin's Creed II, but felt a little redundant in Brotherhood.

Posted by Sildfisk

I believe this is the first time I've heard Romani people mentioned as just that, in a game at least. It seems like "gypsies" is otherwise the dominant term in most popular culture.

damn! that duded got clipped at 2:25

Suleiman the Magnificent is in AC:R? SWEET!

Posted by beckley205

@OldGuy: It was Constantinople because of Emperor Constantine who started the Byzantine Empire, then the Ottomans took over and eventually renamed it Istanbul because they were honoring their enemies triumph.

Ezio only knows of one way to eliminate corruption: by stabbing it in the face and neck.

Can't wait to clamber on the Hagia Sophia and explore Topkapi Palace. One of my favorite pastimes in these games is exploring and admiring the architecture. These guys do such an amazing job in modeling them accurately.

Posted by teh_destroyer

Looking forward to getting all stabby again.

Posted by LiquidPrince

I love how Ezio has become a sort of badass legend.
