Cross Swords With Your Fellow Ninjas in Ninja Gaiden 3

If there is some sort of parry or combo-breaker in this it could be kinda cool. Hopefully there's more than just one stage though.

Trailer for a minute, and we already see

• Animation path skewed at 00:25
• Dozens of sword through stomachs moves (seriously you can't show more variety in one whole minute?)
• Handful of Zangief grabs
• Magic and Arrows

Don't get me wrong I love dumb games, but this one's in the special Olympics for being broken and handicapped.

Kudos for doing something different but I don't know about this.

There aren't enough melee-focused competitive multiplayer games around. It will be interesting to see how this fares.

Multiplayer versus mode for Ninja Gaiden? Not sure if want...

Initially I thought this was awesome, but then I came to the realization that I suck at Ninja Gaiden and would have my ass handed to me in this game's multiplayer.

This looks lazy. Most of those animations look like they were lifted directly from NG2 without any modification.

Why does this look so much fun?

It might be worth a rental just to fuck around with multiplayer for a day, since I've never been interested in any other Ninja Gaiden game.

"Press O to die with Honor" might be one of the best on-screen prompts I've ever seen.

What looks janky? It looks exactly like the other Ninja Gaidens.

I don't like any of the (post-8 bit) Ninja Gaidens at all, but this looks so janky and dumb it might just be worthwhile^^

I don't think that looks bad at all! I could see it being a lot of fun a la Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. The maps look sparse. Put in a danged fruit cart already! Why not....Ninja Gaiden is, afterall, a pretty formulaic game that can't do the same thing a third time.

As long as it doesn't affect SP, I am fine with this. Would rather have co op thou.

if you told me that Team Ninja were trying to not-sell me on this game with this trailer, i'd totally believe you.

regardless of the quality of the trailer, following the multiplayer stuff has made me intrigued. while i don't think that multiplayer is the direction that Ninja Gaiden should go in, and while i'm kind of puzzled by a lot of the design choices made by the new Team Ninja team, i'm still sticking with it because if done right, this looks like it could be a ton of fun.

though, Team Ninja games always have pretty bad netcode, so that could totally kill it. that's what killed the Team Missions for me in Sigma 2.

What the... As a huge fan of Ninja Gaiden (Black) and a small fan of Ninja Gaiden 2, this just... might be good. You don't see this often, that's for sure. I am more interested in seeing and hearing more of the singleplayer though. Hearing how it is more "quicktime-eventy" is not a good sign, so I don't know.

So it's a 5v5 3D fighting game?

I don't know how I feel about multiplayer in Ninja Gaiden. Actually I do, I'm extremely skeptical. I'd much rather see footage of the single player stuff.

This is unrecognizable as a Ninja Gaiden game. I was pretty sure I was done with the series after playing 2. Now I'm completely sure.

Oh my...... no. I really enjoyed Ninja Gaiden Black back on the Xbox, but the series has just totally lost me and this definitely doesn't bring me back.

I am oddly compelled by this. The zombie angle has been raped to death, quite a few games tried half decent pirate games and such, so we've all lived through a few fad games, but no one has done ninja multilayer yet. I wouldn't mine putting down my red dot sight and busting out a katana and fire balls. Looks cool to me.

Um, Ninja Gaiden (or really any stylish action game) seems like the last thing I would want to play competitive multiplayer in.

The co-op in Sigma 2 was pretty cool, or would have been if the netcode wasn't terrible.

I just want another good Ninja Gaiden game. I don't care at all for a multiplayer. I have doubts as to the quality of this game after seeing this.

Cool that you can izuna drop in multiplayer, but it's probably just a filler mode. I still have hope for a good singleplayer and master ninja mode.

This series have THE worst camera in a game I've experienced yet, as most of the time you're fighting to fix the camera angle instead of the enemy.

I never thought multiplayer was something Ninja Gaiden needed but i'm staying cautiously optimistic about it.

Love this series, but this doesn't look very good.

The first two I found very unappealing even after extended play. After watching this trailer for the multiplayer, however, my interest is piqued once again.
