Daddy's Coming Home in This Prototype 2 Trailer

I still need to get around to playing the first Prototype.

Looks fantastic.

Considering the ending of Prototype I'd be really interested to see what's up with Alex Mercer. I mean that ending was kind of a game changer.

@Tennmuerti:Just goes to prove you can't make everyone happy as one of the main criticisms of PROTOTYPE was it's boring bland character.At least they are trying something this time around.And I would gladily fight and kill Generic No Hair White Guy #432(Alex Mercer)as the end boss seems like a neat twist fighting the first game protagonist.I just hope they don't throw it out and make them team up.

The story in the first prototype actually had some interesting moments, but everyone in the game lacking serious humanity makes me care less about the characters. I really hope they could nail it on this one and not make the classic revenge story boring.

This trailer is just as disjointed and incoherent as the first game! Glad to see they're sticking with the plan.

Can these not be the loudest fucking thing on the internet? I like the let the videos cycle through but with moderate volume settings THIS video ends up loud enough the neighboring apartments can hear it.

Meh, worst Prototype2 trailer so far, really really lame attempt to make me care about the new guy, oh booo hooo his family was in another outbreak and died, I get it, but there was zero need to stretch it out for 3 minutes.
 
Shit I liked in Prototype: Alex Mercer was an unashamed selfish bad "guy" just like everyone, it was fire against fire. Killing dudes/tanks/monsters in crazy awesome ways and running up buildings at super speeds (previous trailers got that part covered for 2)

I think it's kind of silly how the new main character is on a quest for revenge against Alex Mercer for what he did.

Then he goes and becomes a 2nd Mercer himself, eating people and causing destruction.

May as well have just given us Alex.

Out of the sandbox games released that year I was most hyped for Prototype. Sadly, it was probably the worst one, behind inFamous and surprisingly enough Red Faction Guerrilla, one I didn't think would be anything special. I still think that it could be a good game if executed better (more interesting missions, enemies, less repetition, some better way to package the backstory than the annoying web of intrigue stuff).

Despite its flaws I really enjoyed the first Prototype. Hopefully they iron out the rough patches and stick with the tone of that trailer, could make for a really interesting game.

Had completely forgotten about this, I might purchase the first one since it should be pretty cheap by now.

PS first trailer this week that hasn't used wub wub that ive seen.

I didn't pay attention to the story in Prototype, it wasn't very interesting. But the gameplay was really fun to just mess around with neat powers and cause havok.

This trailer is leading me to believe its not going to be like the Third Person Action game the first was though.

That's not really saying much. A lot of summer blockbusters have weak acting.

I'm playing through the first right now. It's fun, but rough. I agree with everybody -- I hope they pull it together. It could be amazing. I'm there.

Ah, premise and exposition trailer.

Here's to hoping the game will separate itself more from Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Prototype (1) played too much like Hulk: UD a lot of the times. Then again, Hulk: UD was pretty damn awesome. Guess I can't fault Radical too much to sticking with what worked.

I'm still surprised this game got a sequel. Hopefully it doesn't punish you at the end for not taking the ability tree it wanted you to have. Never beat the end boss because I didn't have the right abilities to do it in the 2:00 minutes or whatever.

Prototype had some pretty great ideas, it just never really congealed together. Hoping this will be something special.

I don't know what to make of this game. I really enjoyed the gameplay of the first while I had a tough time caring/following the story proper. But I LOVE the idea of playing as a new character hunting down the original main character; even going so far as casting him as the villain. I just really hope they can pull this off without it seeming too contrived.

And if they don't, whatever, it's still a fun open-world game.

I hope they pul this off. I wasnt a fan of the first one, but i saw good parts in it.
