I agree. Or at least watch it on youtube. Great ending and War's voice acting was perfect.

I'm pretty skeptical on loot and skill trees, hopefully it'll pan out though.

I was a huge fan of Joe Madureira's work on Uncanny X-Men in the 90s, so it's cool to see him talking up his game now. Excited for this, loved the first one.

I just finished Darksiders less than an hour ago and MAN that ending is awesome. Im glad I didnt finish it earlier though, cuz waiting years to continue the story would have sucked!

It's hardly original, but I've never been one to turn down a skill tree. The game itself looks pretty nice, and I like their solution to the player reaching a "gear cap".

I preordered weeks ago, August is fast approaching. Time to run through the 1st game again as a refresher.

The game looks great, except the main character looks a bit boring.

God, I love the idea of upgrading weapons by feeding them other weapons. And I really hope it is as literal as they made it sound. I want my scythe to ACTUALLY eat swords.

I actually thought the ending was fine as it was. Everything you done in the first game was finished and now War was free to fight on his own terms.. with backup. What's going to happen next pretty much speaks for itself.

And for the record, Darksiders 2 isn't a continuation, it takes place before/during the events of the first. You'll be waiting a bit longer to see a game where all four of them come together, which is kind of a shame, but the Avengers style build up is pretty awesome.

I love the idea that their initial vision for Darksiders was a dark Zelda-inspired open world with dungeons, exploratory items, secrets, and sidequests, God of War style action combat, tons of loot, and a skill tree. Yeah, that's pretty much the definition of a game made by gamers. Can't wait.

Weapons you can feed to other weapons. They made their own bad ass version of MAGs. Can not wait for this game.

Ah, so the RPG elements aren't completely pointless this time...

Excitement for this game is rising fast. A bit disappointed it doesn't follow on directly from the first game but I hope there are a few ties.

Pretty much what I would have wanted Amalur to be. A significant amount of loot games being released this year it seems. Not complaining, but the frequency of games where randomised loot is a selling point feels like it's been much more prominent this year.

Excited for Darksiders II in any case! Considering how little else there is to play, I'm thinking about going through the original again. Just wish there was a difficulty above ''Apocalyptic'' since that was the difficulty I went with from the start and, without trying to sound a little arrogant, was still a bit on the easy side.

This game just keeps getting better and better. Hopefully its a home run too to keep THQ a float.

Except for that "for gamers, by gamers" line at the end there, I like what I see.

Too bad this game doesn't pick up where the last one ended. I'm still fucking hyped for this.

I can't believe the Zelda formula would be improved by having Link pick up fifteen gradually better shields and managing his inventory for pieces of the tunic, and I feel the same way about Darksiders. It's been a while since the last one, so I hope they've changed the feel a bit. At times, it felt way too similar to to other games for me, specifically the obvious God of War and Zelda. It's not like in Okami, where they brought their own battle system and basically ignored the puzzle part of it, it just felt too much like the same. And not in a way that surpassed it, like patrick went on about on the bombcast.

So yeah. Hoping it will be good, hoping it has developed a feel of its own, hoping this Death has a charming personality. I'd enjoy a Discworld Death a whole lot more than a Castlevania Death.

Hope this is better than original Darksiders. That game defines mediocre.

This so far is my most anticipated new release, and i am really trying to keep my expectations in check. Really can't wait for it to come out.

Some of these things seem like smart additions, but I don't know how good the loot system can be when it's not the primary focus. I'm interested to see how it plays out.
