During the SFII HD remake period I remember people were rumoring Darkstalkers HD.

I just want my Street Fighter Alpha 3, man.

All I played in Darkstalkers was B.B Hood. I might get this despite avoiding Capcom products as of late.

My one wish, they put Troubleman on there as an extra, such a crazy bad/awesome song ^_^

Would have preferred to see a true HD remake or (even better) a new, modern Darkstalkers game, but I suppose it's easier for Capcom to toss some filters and netcode onto existing games so.. we'll have to make do.

so this was ono's big secret announcement?

pretty bummed out. i was really hoping it would be a DS4 announcement.

he's been saying he wants DS4 for like 2 years and this reveals that basically no progress has been made in that department. probably wont be buying this as i own these games in like 3 different ways already.

Playing Darkstalkers 3 is a fantastic feeling. It's certainly a great sequel to the trilogy. While I don't usually support Capcom, I have no issues paying out for this.

YES! I've been waiting years for a proper Darkstalkers re-release! This should have came out this year for the Halloween season, though.

But now I have to wait for next year and watch a promotional video with dubstep.

This is not what I was hoping it was.

They have returned to rule the night with Dubstep!

This looks fun, don't get me wrong, but the filtering on the sprites looks AWFUL!!

Between the IE ad with crappy music I just had to watch and the crappy dubstep they put over Darkstalkers footage, this is now my most hated game of 2013.

I never really got to play the original games, so I'm looking forward to this.

Dubstep is SO OVER.

I won't buy it because I'm not good at 2D Capcom fighting games. But I'm glad they're bringing these games back. The graphics look really good too.

I can finally retire my PsOne copy of Darkstalkers 3. Not a remake but I'll take some arcade perfect ports of 2 favorite games of mine.

I'm pretty sure it was a two part "big announcement" Darkstalkers are not dead was teased before, but this was the official announcement.

No more dubstep. :( Please?

I just left New York Comic Con, where Ono announced this after stating that a new Darkstalkers is coming (there was even a short teaser trailer to make the announcement appear more concrete) and that sales of this game are the first step towards making it happen.

I mean this is the best fighting franchise of all time, don't get me wrong, but this better fucking have Vampire Savior: EX Edition and not just the original arcade version. 

If this is the road we must travel to a new Darkstalkers, so be it.

Also... y'figure a re-release of X-Men: Children of the Atom is just a matter of course at this point, right?

Darkstalkers 3? Yes, all is good. I knew they would get around to this eventually, can't wait! I know I played the hell out of third strike online, all DS 3 needs is online play and done deal for me.

It feels like I've almost died and gone to heaven....almost. As soon as we get a new installment, I'll consider myself truly dead simply because that can be the only explanation.

Also, I'm buying the fuck out of this game like you could not possibly believe.

No need for this release, and I like Darkstalkers.
