What about cat ear slider?

that looks pretty good, I've never played a phantasy star game but is the combat real time like you aim and shoot at a guy or you just click to select him and then press hotkeys?

Yeah I managed to start it up, trying to wrap my brain around the character builder. I spent like 20 minutes making a cool dude only to hit randomize near the bottom. It was the worst! I wonder how many GB users will be playing? It'd be fun to play with people that speak English.

Yep, this is the dicking around simulator I remember. Let's dance in the lobby and spam obscene emotes like it's 2001!

I finally played through Episodes I, II, and IV via Schthack about a year ago. Still charming as hell.

PSO 2 might just recapture the magic. Rappys, boob sliders, dancing, and customizable bathtubs? Let's do this shit!

so it's a "battle action" "online rpg" and something about a "frontier"?

sold!

Posted by JBG4

I'm taking a stab in the dark here but I think he said, "Online RPGGGG."

Posted by fox01313

I just hope they learn their lessons from the last PSO, still remembering trying to go through town hub areas to see almost the entire screen covered in text bubbles of senseless text. The core gameplay idea is good, just poor handling on the last one in the US.

God I loved Phantasy Star when I was a kid. First RPG I ever played.

boob size adjustment is a feature that they felt necessary to show in their trailer.

Japan always confuses me with its view of sexuality.  I can't nail down quite how it works.

HEY YOU CAN ADJUST GIRLS BOOBS IN THIS GAME!

Well, when a woman and a demonic tentacle love each other very much...

The closed beta was a lot of fun, the open beta is also a lot of fun. It's an expanded PSO, and it feels like it. I do have to admit though, I miss the housing and player shops from PSU. They had a lot more personality and style.

I never played my GameCube PSO online, so it was really weird to see other people in the PSO2 hub when I tried it earlier today. At least during quests I can be in solitude. Also everyone was playing a female of some sort and I was the only mech-person that I could see which was disappointing

Posted by Itwastuesday

I was playing in the closed beta. Very easy game to just pick up and play when nothing's going on. For a little bit I thought that it was a little underwhelming, but I found myself missing it after it was gone. Totally getting on this right now!

I'm playing the Open Beta as I type this. I have been disappointed with PSO-type games up until now. I think... this might be a bit early to say... but I think they nailed it. I'm having a ton of fun.

loved the first game hope this one is good

You should see one of the videos they put out showcasing the character creator. They go far more...in-depth than that. Also, little kids that will probably reignite the TERA fiasco all over again.

GET HYPE!!!!!!!!!! Another motivation to learn Japanese.

Gonna cosign with Jeff and everyone else in favor of boob-sliding, off-screwing, bath-taking, and swatch-timing.

I know some of those words.

There was a patch during closed beta that translated much of the UI into english along with alot of item text and quest text.  Pretty sure it would work for open beta as well so go ahead and try it out everyone.

Both are still there, just hidden behind a pay wall.

Difference is, they are much plainer than in PSU. Hell, the shops are just a menu now.

Fun fact: the unofficial English speaking server has received such a population increase since open beta (progress is carried over from closed beta) that it is now locked from more new characters being made.

Well, SEGA understandably doesn't want only one server to be over populated.  I was more emphasizing just how many english players are playing PSO2 now, so anyone wanting to dive in probably won't find it impossible to get someone who speaks the same language to party with.
