I don't understand. I thought that compared to almost 90% of video game ads out there, these are at least entertaining, and short. What's with all the hate? Honestly I think these are great ads. Is Epic getting to the point of popularity that people despise?

Every time I see footage of this game, I have a tremendous urge to go shower in acid. I'm all for innovation/differentiation in the shooter genre, but this is not the way to go about it.

This must be how all video games look to people who don't play games.
 
I can see why it's polarizing, but I think this is to violence as Bayonetta is to sex: over-the-top to the point of being cartoonish rather than savage.

" Humph, this game is simply too childish. As a serious gamer I find the lack of deserts, a realistic story and arabs to shoot to be a gamebreaker. How can you have a good fps without that? And what's with all the colours? This needs to be more like Killzone, we don't need any kind of depth to our characters or gameplay. And humour in an FPS? What is this, Serious Sam? I feel like I need to stay away from this, lest I spend my money on it and encourage more of this kind of marketing.  It is awesome that they don't want to just do another generic FPS, but seriously?  "Blow out a man's @$$hole" is something that no man should ever have occasion to say.

this game keeps looking worse as more pr rolls out for it. not that i think it'll be bad, but at first i was really psyched for this game, and now it kind of looks like something a bunch of eight-year-olds somehow managed to cobble together. oh dicktits, there's always next time.

I don't find the videos funny at all, but its clearly not meant to be taken seriously so why argue over it. As long as I'm not gonna be called dicktits every 3 seconds while playing I'll have a fun time with this one.

The fact that the actual gameplay is so awesome makes it that much more painful to watch them destroy my interest in this game with these stupid videos.  This game is the epitome of bro culture.  Seriously, "blowing out some guys asshole", if that doesn't fit directly in line with the homoerotic underpinnings that define bros, then i don't know what does.  To be quite honest, I think Bulletstorm will do very well, but i hope it's because people want to kill with skill, not to blow out some guys asshole; know what i mean?

I'm really looking forward to playing this, looks like insane fun. But I do feel bad about that. So I guess it evens out. LOL
