I think the new Dante looks pretty cool, its a change I think DMC needed. Besides, he kind of looks like Morrisey!

And, Im guessing this isn't as much of a reboot as we are being led to believe as when he goes Devil Trigger he gets white hair and a red jacket like original Dante which is pretty cool and hints a something

I like new Dante better than old Dante.

Old Dante would not look out of place at the pride parade. And that's not a gay joke, it's a flamboyancy joke.

Still kinda puzzled why they haven't shown any story stuff apart from that initial trailer. Extra weird since that seemed to be the thing that Ninja Theory did well.

I think he looks okay. Just wish they would make his shirt color a shade darker, sometimes it looks like he is shirtless. xD

@BeefyGrandmole: I have, he was my English substitute teacher and we saw a cross and old books in his bag. He looked like a sinister Giles from buffy. But I agree with you that who the hell is to say what a demon hunter looks like? anyone could hunt demons!

I am really bummed out by the music.. it clashes so much with.; everything!

but action at least seems to be more fluid or getting more fluid.

Im still not diggin this coke-head Dante and the music just sucks , did Capcom say why they did this? DMC4 as far as Im concern was a great game, sure half of the game felt like a Copy/paste of Nero´s campaign but complety different in how you play, as Dante you were able to change to any of his 4 battle styles and use his special weapons it was awesome , I´ll have to play this until I dismiss it but damnit Capcom!.

Don't like the new Dante at all, he looks like an emo punk poser. The environments don't look that great but still want to try it before I dismiss it. I liked when it went into the black and white with the red, I wish the whole game looked like that.

They really turned around the music fast. They went from this amazing song:

To whatever bullshit was in that trailer.

Also, I REALLLLLLY hope that the slo-mo moments in the combat are just edited in for the trailer to make it "cool" (it's not), because I really hate when video games slow down the game while in combat all the time to try to show you the animation that is going on. However, the gameplay is looking a HELL of a lot better than the previous Ninja Theory games' combat. I am eager to see a dudeglove blog on this.

Trailer was cool apart from that music. wasnt a fan of that at all.

I want to be the lead creative director and make Dante look like me...Ego Freak.

@xobballox: Thought trough slowdown can be very cool though, look at Bayonetta or Arkham Asylum where stuff slows down in battle at the right moment just to give impact that right amount of punch.

I also agree with you about the music choice. It started good but then...yeah, it got messy. The Glitch Mob song in the trailer before was awesome though. The really got me pumped with that one.

Until they have a Flamboyancy Pride Parade, that's a gay joke (More of an awkward observation). Not that I care, just own up to it. That's like if someone made some racist joke about black people and crime and went "Oh no, that's not a black joke, that's a criminal joke."

The more I see the more my I expect an average to good game by its own rights, but not so much Devil May Cry. Combat specifically, as I honestly do not like western (God of War, Heavenly Sword, Dante's Inferno, etc) style hack 'n slash combat; they never feel very good to me, for reasons I can't really put into words (uncomfortable? I dunno). Granted, because of that I haven't checked out Enslaved, so I don't know how Ninja Theory theory has been doing since Heavenly Sword. Maybe they'll surprise me.

Also, seems DMC4 is still the game of choice to draw mechanics from. Before people found an attack animation or two that looked to be ripped straight from Nero, Devil Bringer-like combat mechanics, and now we've got even the Hell Bound movement. Not sure if it's significant at all, but it still brings this little tingling feeling of dread at the back of my head for some reason.

Well, like I said, it doesn't look like it'll be BAD, really, just... Not quite what I personally am looking for from a game with the name "Devil May Cry."

Also a Demon Hunter should look confident or maybe even just straight up full of himself when fighting demons. Not all melancholy like this guy looks in every video.

I played Enslaved. Liked it a lot, actually. But even I thought its combat was really dull and unimpressive and I'm usually really lenient when it comes to judging that gameplay area. That's what I'm worried about with this DmC. I can handle the weird punk redesign even if I don't like it, but if I'm gonna be stabbing and shooting demons/angels/whatevers left and right I hope they make it way more interesting than fighting was in Enslaved.

At the moment, I'm still reserving judgement on this.

I also feel like something is off about Dante's face, in the way that something was wrong with Starkiller 2's face in SW: TFU 2. It looks spongy and doesn't seem to fit.

Yep, the combat still doesn't look up to DMC3's standards. Transitions look kinda slow and stiff. It's to be expected, of course, since Ninja Theory is handling this (they make good games, but the combat isn't their strong suit).

Also, emo Dante is dumbest thing that happened to the series since DMC2.

At least this trailer shows it is really Devil May Cry unlike the first one. I have no more doubts, this game is gonna be awesome!
