is there a way to turn off the red outline on enemies? or atleast reduce it? It completely overwhelms the character model on some enemies

@ZmillA: The way that the spell effects get crazy (especially in 4 player games), the ability to see the thing you are hitting is more important than checking out the model. At least thats what I believe the design decision behind that is :)

Looking at Brads inventory at the end there I can see that he has an unidentified rare axe. There are no scrolls in D3, all you have to do is right click on it to identify it. If this was addressed during the course of the QL, my bad, since I just skimmed through it.

I can't decide if the D-Day reference is disrespectful or not.

Well, when you consider the fact that this is a follow up video, and it's longer than some of the recent QLs, it's pretty long.

argh... stupid Amazon isnt delivering my collectors edition till 3 days after launch... so much for ordering 6 months in advance to get it launch day :(

I was going to make a post about this too. I know its probably hard to talk and play at the same time, but man is it boring to watch. Also picking up every single thing that drops doesn't help.

It's not, D-day it self just means the day of a military operation. There were many D-days in WW2, however media being what they are probably heard a general refer to it as d-day and they ran with it. Which was then picked up by popular culture, which then redefined the meaning of the phrase. D-day -7 (or D-7) means a week prior H-hour +6 (or H+6) means 6 hours after. Now you know more about that phrase than you care to.

Brad, in future could you please refrain from clicking around all over the place at random when you're just talking on the video? It's okay to let your character stand still a minute. Your constantly clickery strains my eyes and irritates me.

@Cyrisaurus: I'm still used to getting an hour a day from Endurance Runs, I don't think I'll ever find a video long again. Except for E3 podcasts, those are too long.

avoids talents being moved in the heat of battle. i had it turned off in WoW, too easy to accidentally drag and drop a talent off your bar in a boss fight.

edit *oh shit, i had the same initial understanding brad had, ability to move icons. need to investigate it more.

I'm in europe so servers might be different but i have about 18 to 19 hours so far, no problems since that first 2 hours.

Wait... Where do you get dyes? Are they just random drops? I've gotten to Act 2 and never seen those.

I really like this manner of on-going coverage. Stylistically the game still looks out-dated and bland, but certainly not too cheery as early complaints would have it. The skill & character system have a distinct bizarre vibe to them but that could easily be a thing the player gets over in time. I'm still waiting for a moment that utterly sells me on this new concept and I'm thinking it'll possibly never come for me.

But as long as I'm seeing fisting monks on Giantbomb that's just fine with me!
