Wait... why is this on the front page?

Because...... DIABLO III.

Or it could be a malfunction with one of the backend databases. Just a guess.

I agree. I have no interest in this game and I do not know why. I feel like an outcast seating at home killing the Max Payne 3.

Yeah, remember last week's TNT when Brad - after an hour of getting these issues in Minecraft 360 - exclaimed "Guys, is it too late to change the review score"? This time they have the time, I wonder what they'll do with it.

Brad is a full-on Diablo fanboy and only seems mildly bemused by Minecraft, so I'm sure it'll still get five stars when the review comes up. Besides, most reviewers seem to be giving Diablo 3 a total pass on the whole server connectivity issue which is a complete cop-out to me.

As they have had a lot of post-release coverage (and are planning even more), I wonder if they're using that to justify a higher score after the very negative press about the launch issues. I would be totally OK with that as it has started looking a bit better the more I've seen of it, though personally I think they should give it something of a penalty for bringing such a critical and unnecessary change to the series, and then fail massively with it.

I'd like to wait till its cheaper too, but I think we might have to wait a while... Diablo 2 (Battle chest) still retails for $30-$40.

Yeah seriously, screw Blizzard's pricing. They still sell Starcraft, a 14 year old game that can only run at 640x480, for $15. Other respected PC gaming companies with their kind of success would be giving a game that old away for free as a thank you to fans at this point (such as with Bethesda and their older games).

While it's silly that StarCraft and Diablo 2 are still $15, they've been at that price point since around 2 years after release - so while they should've dropped in price more since then, it didn't take too long until they reached their current price point (which WOW is also at, and SC2 is closing in on). I think Diablo 3 is probably available at around $30 by the end of the year.

You seem oblivious to Blizzard's recent pricing practices. SC2 is still $60 on Blizzard's site, despite being almost 2 years old at this point. The MSRP is still $60 as far as I can tell, though obviously you can go on Amazon and find some seller willing to take the hit and sell it for $45 or $50.

Thinking that Diablo 3 will be $30 a mere 6 months from now is absolutely absurd. General interest in the game will remain high and continue to sell well for easily a year, similar to how Skyrim is still at full launch price just about everywhere. Blizzard has no reason to lower the price any time soon.

Well, Digital distribution pricing even on PC is still pretty screwed up. I love Steam for it's ridiculous sales, but even there games stay at ridiculously high price points way too long. As for retail, as I don't live in the US or a Euro country, I had to do approximate conversions to USD, games tend to launch at around $75-100 here, but the prices drop pretty fast after the first month or two, what I've seen so far is that Blizzard games drop to half the launch price pretty fast, but then stay around that level for a decade.

I figured out a way to equip the weapons in a skill-slot instead of just using skills. But it seems like just a hack. You need that elective mode on in your settings.

1.- Equip a skill in right mouse slot

2.- Equip THE SAME skill in the left mouse slot

3.- Since you can't equip the same skill, the right mouse skill will be removed from that slot, and the weapon icon will be there.

This way you can actually use bows with wizards, for example. Anyone knows of an easier way?

Just drag the skill out of the slot...

Yeah, the graininess of the new player is most apparent for me here. I've been playing the game, and it's so crisp; it's a shame how it's represented visually in the vid. Still, awesome content overall.

I'm getting Diablo III (and Max Payne 3) today. My one real complaint with the game coming out of the beta was the constant server connection requirement. I ended up repeating that same dungeon from the end of this video four times because the server kept crapping out on me.

I keep trying to watch this video, but man do I not care about games like this. I enjoy games mostly for stories / characters, the occasional cool puzzle-solving element, or (rarely) some sort of team-focused competitive gameplay (Battlefield 3, for example), but clicking like mad for the sake of nothing but action and gear is just not for me.

This game looks polished to all Hell, though, so I'm glad for its existence and hope those who buy it enjoy themselves.

Was so sad to see one of the tips listed on the loading screen while playing it at home is that there is 'no cow level'. I hope they did something similar in obscure levels of wacky. Yeah the servers have been a mess the last couple days & died a few times early on due to the game running fine (playing solo) then latency spiking to 0 fps. So far liking all the ranged characters over the barb & monk.

I have 4 days off from work - could easily play Diablo 3 now - but chose not to. This is the first Blizzard game I am not down with. I want my Single Player offline experience! I don't want to be online and my every move and click tracked and monitored - depending on availability of their servers, producing lag, screwing up my progress.

On the other hand, I can see myself playing DayZ the next 4 days, if I can find a server that isn't full ... I call it Irrational Game..ing.

Bought this on a whim and am really enjoying it! Played Diablo way back when but skipped number two. I didn't think the 'point and click' thing would work for me in this day and age, but it's really quite good.

Ditto. He notices nothing, and is then clueless how things work - ie. the salvage interface. It very noticeably spells out "click the anvil to begin salvaging" as does the smith, and still he goes derp until Drew tells him how to.

That's Brad for you. He is so bad at video games. Let's hope someone else plays on the next videos.

Haha I was thinking same thing guys, it's slightly painful, get Vinny on them controls.

I'm pretty good at games in general, and thought it'd be cool to stream my gameplay live on twitch.tv. Then when I had it all set up, I realized how freaking hard it is with the pressure of needing to keep your gameplay entertaining and keep talking the entire time.

I don't think Brad sucks at games. I think a lot of people would have a really hard time under those playing conditions.

Yeah, that's right. It's not like Brad has been doing this FOR YEARS! Brad is bad. Stop making excuses.

There's nothing wrong with making excuses, or adding a counter-point to a conversation. And as for Brad doing this FOR YEARS, I gave up live streaming after not showing improvement for months, but I spent a lot more time streaming each day than Brad does for quick looks.

They have bad font choices for this game on the HUD, they just look like they were put in by programmers and not art designers. It just doesn't mesh well with the atmosphere of the game.

@CptBedlam: I am of same mind really regarding both Diablo 3 and Max Payne 3. I feel myself getting tempted to get D3 because of various people raving about it but I have to remind myself that a lot of them never played Diablo 2 back in the day. When I envision myself just slogging through random dungeon after dungeon with the only goal being the possibility of finding a better weapon or armor I seem to lose all interest. I feel somewhat disappointed but not surprised that after so many years Blizzard has basically put out the same game again except with much higher polish.

What I take away from watching most of this.... Diablo 3 is extremely boring to watch (no, it's not Brad, I've seen better players playing as well). Essentially the only factor that pulls you into this kind of game is the loot-craze which of course doesn't translate when not playing by yourself.

Watching videos of Diablo 3 has been kind of an revelatory experience for me... I won't put up with so many hassles (always on etc) just to get so little out of a game (become addicted to looting). Maybe I've outgrown these games. I want better and more diverse experiences from the games that I play now than a well-crafted but ultimately forgetable by-the-numbers loot-hunt. Sorry Blizzard, I've come to the conclusion that my time is too valuable for the games you make these days.

Sometimes I can't tell if some of Brad's glee is manufactured for effect or if it's really genuine. I almost want to believe he's making fun of game concepts, but the glee in his voice doesn't seem to be sarcastic, even though some of it has to be, for the sake of my own sanity at least.

The action in this game does get a lot crazier than any MMO I've played. At points in later acts there's so much going on with multiple players and dozens of enemies that I can't even keep track of what's happening on screen.
