Did You Know That John Goodman Is In Rage?

After playing LA Noire, every other game's in-game faces just look silly.

If you get John Goodman for your game, I want to see John Goodman in the damn game.

The music in the beginning sounds like it's from Trigun.

You know, this game so far, hasn't showed anything new at all.

It's a post-apocalyptic shooter, it just all feels so generic to me.

What's the thing that sets it apart, other than being developed by Carmack and friends?

And neither of those games came up with the setting. It's basically all the legacy of MadMax and the early Fallout games.

Actually, a lot of the setting is rather common between Borderlands and this. The mutants and bandits in Rage share a lot of similarities to the psychos and thugs in Borderlands, and the Authority design is extremely similar to the Crimson Lance. Besides that, there are the vehicles sections, the arenas and the open world...I am not saying one copied the other, but there are some obvious similarities in the setting design that goes beyond the art style...

Yes, I did notice his voice as I watched one of the latest trailers. By the way, the way I came off this was "I came to see John Goodman, but got even better, and left with the awesome John Carmack." By the way, I'm not totally sold on the wasteland feel of another game, I wasn't really into that... ever. But the way they talk about it, makes me highly interested since it's simply everything I look for when it comes to atmosphere. The history behind how every area, and how it has changed before the player character gets to see it himself, and I love to imagine how it was before.

I question the idea that john goodman could survive an asteroid based apocalypse, dudes sturdy but is way too much of a carebear.

I'm trying really hard to stand by my decision to not buy this game.  It's not that I don't think this will be good - and every day I see something new I begin to think it will be even better than I initially thought - but there is just so much stuff coming out this year-end that I have to miss out on a few gems.  : /

Even with them talking nothing  but great things about this game, nothing in it interests me. All seems like standard stuff.

I cannot wait to play the game about marketing this game.

Out of all the games that have done the apocalyptic theme, this one looks like the best and seems like it should be very immersible.

Doesnt seem to really match the character model.
also this game looks painfully generic.

I love John Goodman. For more than just the Big Lebowski even (go watch Speed Racer if you haven't, I know that sounds crazy but trust me). 
 
The rest of this game looks like a more fleshed-out Fallout 3 with more emphasis on the FPS elements which is not a bad thing. I'm interested in seeing it when it's done. It very-possibly could be worth a purchase.

I really didn't like Goodman in The Big Lebowski, though maybe it's because he did his job. I DO like his voice, and my only concern still is does it match the charactor? well it does in context, but I am not sure yet in looks, and that is where the mismatch would be. Goodman himself rocks.

Every video that I see for this game makes me want to play it less and less. Carmack did his usual "look at how cool the tech is!" thing that he does, but at the end of the day, the coolest/best tech can't save a mediocre game experience. I love id, but this is getting sad. Also, anybody else notice that the sub-machine gun, shotgun, and rocket launcher were ripped straight out of Doom 3, just slightly altered cosmetically?

You know, when the RAGE logo is shown near the start and at the end of the video the tune that is played reminds me of Firefly.
