Oh man why do they have to make me wait.

Oh, Alex. You make the best video descriptions, you rapscallion.

What a hilarious caption.

What a terrible song.

Posted by steelerzfan101

And now I am struggling to see how rap music fits in with the time period of the game haha!

Posted by SharkMan

what a weird choice of music

Edited by Y2Ken

Well that's quite the screencap.

I'm definitely into the idea of a trials mode, playing through the second time I definitely felt very competent with the abilities compared to my first run and would be cool to see how I stack up against other players.

To-night I’m bringing Dun-wall to life!!

My ears are bleeding and so will my purse cause I'm gonna buy this despite the terrible song.

@steelerzfan101: If it's one thing that the Addams Family movies taught me, it's that anything can be a rap song, no matter how unnecessary or inappropriate.

Haha alright, good point! Well played!

I appreciate having to enter my age while staring at that thumbnail.

Posted by Maajin

I've had enough Dishonored for the time being, but thanks!

Posted by RazielCuts

I see all these trailers about going batshit offensive crazy and I didn't play like that, sneaky stealth was my way. I wonder if you can play these missions like that too? The word 'trials' seems like it would be against that though.

Edited by RobinOttens

That thumbnail kills the purpose of the age gate a bit. But I'm fine with that.

Good, more of the game of the year. Cool for that guy that they reached out and used his rap, ill-fitting as it may be.

Posted by kerse

Time trials? no thanks.

Posted by bybeach

You know I repect this game, I'm going to get it 'soon'. But leave that music out.

Posted by ChuckDeNomolos

I said it yesterday and I'll say it again, I want the Hip Hop Gamer on the goddamn Bombcast.

Posted by ILuvMsMarvel

As someone who played/ is playing stealth with minimal killing, time trials and combat challenges seem rather useless. Unless there turns out to be far more than what they showed, I'll pass on this and play the base game and wait for the next game or useful DLC.

I really look forward to this! since I played mostly stealth in Dishonored some action challenges is a nice change of pace.

Posted by Rxanadu

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I think the time trials should be a free update. Than again, I've been so accustomed to paying about $5 for entire games on Steam (or packs of games on Humble Bundle) that my opinion may be warped.

Posted by Renrawr

@Nasos100: Not cool.

Posted by JoeyRavn

I think I'll pass on this DLC. I wish they had expanded on the endings (as clichéd as that may sound this year) instead of putting out what is basically a time trial/score attack set of missions with no actual relation to the plot.

Posted by shlimmy

I will definitely try this, as the abilities in this game were just flat out fun to experiment with.

Posted by heretrix

They shoulda stuck with the instrumental.

It's like a 10 car pile up - I could not stop watching even though it is utterly, utterly horrible.

Alright, If I were to go buy the first and second one on GOG right now, what mods do you guys recommend for bug fixes/U.I tweaks. Hit me with your sweet sweet baldurs knowledge.

EDIT: Umm apparently this isn't the baldurs gate quicklook. I have no idea what happened.

The age gate is actually there to protect people's ears from the terrible rapping.

For me it's not about 'me liking the song', I don't really like rap. That's besides the point. For me, it's that a guy on youtube made something that some people think is 'neat, or creative', and then the developers responded to that by featuring it in a trailer.

That kind of input is what we should see more of in a multi million dollar industry.

Compare that to a million users complaining about something and the developers simply not giving a shit. (Pc, ubisoft, comes to mind). I don't know, anyone else see where I am coming from here?

Too bad I already finished Dishonored. Pretty much no DLC is ever able to entice me to bother digging my games out again, popping them open, and putting them in the drive for a few hours. I suppose it also doesn't help that I didn't particularly give a shit about the bland story in Dishonored. It wasn't a terrible game, but having finally finished it, I feel the buzz about the game was way more than it deserved.

Also, that's kinda mean to poke fun at Hip Hop Gamer. I think it's very kind of the gaming community and industry to indulge the aspirations of a mentally disabled fellow who still wants to be involved in gaming, beyond just being a player. In an industry/community that tends to see people who are different than they are and ridicule them mercilessly, I think the way everyone so generously treats Hip Hop Gamer is kind of sweet and shows a more thoughtful nature of the internet, in recognizing that people have, you know, actual feelings.

This looks like fucking shit. What a shame, and here I was being naive that we would get a nice story-driven add-on that fleshes out the world and characters a bit... nope, let's just make a few maps and shove some old enemies in there. $15-20 for an hour of old content, please bend over.

Pro gamer tip from me: if any DLC has the words "arena", "challenge", or "mode" in its title, stay the fuck away and kill yourself.

First Primordia and now this, today has been a banner day for video descriptions. Nicely done Alex.

This couldn't be further from what I would actually want as DLC for Dishonored. Supposedly the next two DLC's are more story driven so I might be down for those. And yes that song is terrible.

Posted by Hugh_Jazz

I'm game. These things'll probably tide me over until the story DLC comes out. While playing the campaign, I was all non-lethal up until The Flooded District, at which point I proceeded to stab fools through most of the level until calming down again. This'll be a chance for me to do some measured violence, and compete with other people.

Posted by smiddy

That music is fucking awful.

I just got finished playing Dishonored after picking it up in the Steam sale. I loved it, but this DLC doesn't seem interesting at all. What I loved about Dishonored was the world, the atmosphere and story. The gameplay was great, you felt incredibly cool sneaking and blinking all over the place, but what I really want is more story. Anything that teaches me more about that utterly fascinating world.

Edited by fetchfox

@smiddy: There will be another DLC next year, though it'll be story based. You'll play as one (some?) of The Whalers, the assassination-team that kills the empress in the opening of Dishonored (I think you'll actually play as Daud, their leader). So an entire story, not necessarily directly related to the main story (hopefully not). It sounds a hell of a lot more interesting than this.

This.

Posted by Ataribomb

I'm a bit iffy on the dlc just being some combat trials, might just wait for the more story oriented DLC. Also, not a damn bit of anything wrong with that song as is, but I'm not sure it works well as proper trailer music.

Posted by MeatSim

I want a mod were Corvo caries around a boombox and this song is blasting at all times in game.

I'm getting this game for Xmas. I hope it isn't shit.

Could you even be more butthurt? Its optional DLC that's only $5.
