Trenched. Whiskey Media's new website about Robits.

Sigh, third party exclusives... Will they ever learn?

who is doing the voice over? he sounds so damn familiar i can't put my finger on it.

Posted by Lazyaza

Mechs are automatic win for my gaming interests, the fact its also a DF game is nice.

Posted by abara

wow...this is not what I expecting from Double Fine next. (then again, neither was a Sesame Street Kinect game)

@FuzzYLemoN: Games don't publish themselves, dood.
Posted by LordCrom

YEP!  I want this now:)

This looks really, really awesome!

Wow, this really breaks my perception of Double Fine. Unless there will be some unforseen irony or sarcasm hidden in there, that goes beyond the "the military is serious and talks very staccato"-joke.
Even the Sesame Street game was not a problem for me, it seemed to fit in with their style and choice of universes, but this just looks... Like a lot of other games. Untouched by the Double Fine-silly-magic-touch.

I kinda get a Monday Night Combat/ LoL gameplay feel from this... I like both those games so I have high hopes for this one.

Posted by DenJ

I'm interested in this for sure.

Hopefully it maintains their charm that they are know for.

Maybe chuck in the Cookie Monster as a end boss.

Seems pretty obvious that they will be involved in ones of those XBLA special months like Summer of Arcade, which require a timed exclusive for 360. Those have seemed to do fairly well.

Also, I liked the part where the mech took up 75% of the screen.

What about nesting dolls? Did you expect nesting dolls?

I really want this.

Unless my ear for voice actors is fritzing out it's Tom Kane who has done bajillondy things (most recent video game Batman: AA as Commissioner Gordon)

@OldGuy: close! its the spirit of arkham guy, you jogged my memory though thanks.

I guess the joke just went over your head this time.

I want to say it's the narrator from crackdown, but I'm probably wrong.

Yeah this looks super similar to Chromehounds for sure. Maybe a little lighter, but still, can't be a bad thing.

Darn, a 360 exclusive. I never bothered to replace my old broken one for lack of interest, and now suddenly Double Fine makes me interested :(

Posted by Xeiphyer

This looks GREAT. More customizable mech games please!

Those mechs reminded me a lot of Trots from Steambot Chronicles/other games in the series.

Okay, I'm willing to go with that being possibility, if it has to do with not a MGS2-style-expectation-flip coupled with the political jokes of say, Starship Troopers? Is it the fact of picking the mech-game mechanic? Or should I just shut my mouth(keyboardfingers) and keep my non-interest to myself?
Posted by Cozmicaztaway
@byrjun: I'm gonna guess it's the over-the-top manliness of it, or something. I'm thinkingSoldier frrom TF2.almost. Could be wrong though.

And I like mech-games, and I like Double Fine.. and I don't have a 360. So yeah, that sucks!

I hope this isn't some RTS lameness. ( The views expressed herein are my own and do not necessarily represent the views of  Giant Bomb  or of any other Giant Bomb Community members)

It's an announcement trailer. Sit the fuck down and wait for class to begin before you scurry out.

I get a big brutal legend left over assets vibe...

Edited by MaddProdigy

Telltale and Double Fine are putting in some damn WORK on the downloadable game scene. Glad to see smaller studios are finding their niches among all the 50 and 100 million dollar blockbusters EA, Activision, and the big 3 can afford to pump out.

somehow reminds me   Armed and Dangerous

This looks like it could be pretty cool.

While Brutal Legend's graphics were not great I'm pretty sure it looked better than this visually speaking.

Gonna go out on a limb and say this game won't convince me that Double Fine makes good games. After Psychonauts, Stacking, Brutal Legend, and Costume Quest all failed to do so.

I'm pretty sure you mean 775 million dollars.

I keep reading that line as "Double Fine wants you to get trench mouth."

Holy shit I think you might be retarded
Posted by outerabiz

it can't be... Metal Gear!!!

Posted by Jolt92
@thatguyfosho:
Obviously, who would buy 4 games from a company you think makes bad games? A retard.
Edited by ScaryGaryofAk

mobile trench warfare... oh dear this is not going to be pretty for both sides

Turn no man's land into real man's land.

I like it.

Posted by ectoplasma

Yeah the graphics looks very much recycled, lets hope the gameplay keeps up!

Posted by yyZiggurat

Metal...Gear?

Posted by MachoFantastico

Looks interesting, and what's wrong with using the Brutal Legend engine? It's their engine they can do what they want with it I say.
