If it weren't for the voiceover and knowing its from Double Fine, this would totally look like D-grade crap.  Looks like an xbox 1 game.

From what I can gather this is a co-op tower defense game with ground combat.

I like Double Fine and Tim Shafer as developers, but for some unknown reason i don't really like playing their games...

I still can't believe these games aren't coming out on Steam... you know, where most of Schafer's old fanbase is.  If Super Meat Boy can make more $$$ on Steam than it can on XBLA then there's no reason Double Fine's games can't do well there.

A mech game by Double Fine...I'm buying it.

I love the downloadable games idea, but I would love a four-pack collection on disc by the end othe year.

This is how you do a mech game in this era, make it small, downloadable, accessible. Then if it goes wrong and nobody likes it you haven't wasted all that money developing an in store purchase AAA title, and if it goes right you can pump money into DLC and potentially a AAA sequel.

I really enjoyed the story and characters of Psychonauts overall, but I absolutely hated playing it. And I really, really love platformers. Brutal Legend is funny too, but...not very fun either. The twenty minutes or so of Stacking I played was just a mess - the character's too close to the front of the screen or something. I hate the look of it. Anyway. Opinions. I'm not trying to troll. Gotta love Double Fines focus on Downloadable games simple because they always have something new and engaging. They got me with WW1 mechs against aliens to be frank.

So it's a mech/tower-defense game? Set in alternate universe WWI where aliens invade?
