Double Helix's New Strider Game Hits Xbox Live/PSN/PC Today

Since I'm more or less starving for stuff to play on my Xbox One, I think I'm going to try this one.

Pretty sure it isn't going to be available on PC until tomorrow (the 19th).

1080p60 and absolutely wonderful on the PS4, feels so right to play. A bit of a difficulty-spike later in the game but so good. It also plays more than fine over remote-play.

Argh, why do we have to wait 'till tomorrow over at Europe...glad to hear that it's worth waiting, though!

..and yeah, I do think it's PS3/4 today and the rest tomorrow. Unless you're over at Europe, then you're also doomed to wait for the PS-version 'till tomorrow.

I need some metroidvania style games, this might be the one to get.

His legend being that of a guy who never had any truly great games? NES Strider and Strider 2 were okay at best. The original was trash. Stylish trash.

It's not Xbox One as of 1 PM EST, anyone know why? It sounds like it's supposed to be out.

Yeah, no idea. I kept seeing "Feb. 18" as the release date for a while now, but Steam still lists it as "2.19.2014" when you go to their store page. And as of now, it's still showing as such, without the usual "countdown to release" that they usually show when a game comes within a day or two of release.

So I'm just gonna assume that it releases tomorrow, and maybe be pleasantly surprised if I get home tonight and I'm able to install it...

A new strider game in 2014, how crazy is that? Why couldn't this have come out while I was in middle school?

I am torn between getting this and Rayman Legends on PS4 today. That $15 price tag might have decided it for me. Looks like I'll have to keep Rayman Legends on my backlog a little longer.

Not my cup of tea, but im sure people who are into this genre will enjoy it. Looks pretty fast paced.

Well, I just bought it on the Xbone for $15. However, it does say release date 2/19/2014.
