I'd really like to see how they turn this into a third person shooter

Looks like a PC MMO.

Eh, DAO is a quality RPG, I just didn't like the combat too much. It felt like I was too often fighting against my teammate's AI instead of fighting against the enemy.

Huhgreed. There was still a bit of herding-cats element to DA2, but they actually did what you told them and didn't have to be babysat. The thing I like least about Origins is the combat (and that a lot of the side quests are pointless).

I've been ignoring almost everything about this game, since after DA2 and ME3 I kind of stopped caring about Bioware at all. However, this trailer looks cool at least. It's still not enough to get me to buy this game though.

Yup, that's Frostbite. It's way too early to tell but I hope Inquisition redeems the series. Open worldishness sounds cool.

I had to try really hard to reap any enjoyment from DA2. Story was decent, some characters were marvelous, new art style was different but acceptable... the rest of the actual game felt rushed and very poorly conceived.

I appreciate that in recent years many RPG franchises have gotten back to the core inspiration: "Yo, dragons are pretty fuckin' wicked, huh?"

Having the same reaction initially to dragon age 2 as everyone else, I was surprised when I came back to it after some distance from both it and origins and enjoyed it a great deal. I'd say give it another shot. It's a really fun game with a lot of good stories and characters. The technical execution of the combat system is flawless. They only really messed up with the reused environments in the end.
