Driveclub Finally Returns on October 8

Every new console needs a sexy car game! Can't wait to get all up in that leather.

Hope it's good! I've been inexplicably excited for #DriveClub for quite some time now.

That is much later than I expected.

It's Oct 7 for US and Oct 8 for Europe.

Minor "niggle" but I'd be hesitant to call this a sim, Evo have described it as a cross between sim and arcade. Also, that's one purdy video game. And it's Oct 7 for US.

If rumors are true (and I hope they are), we could actually be getting a new Forza Horizon game around the same time as this. I guess we'll have to wait until E3 to find out if that's actually true.

Horizon was one of my favorite racing games. I really, really hope those rumors you speak of are true. Although, I hope they tone down the overall hipster / douchiness that was there in the first game.

That looked amazing. The biggest problem I had with Forza is that while the cars looked great, the tracks all looked like ass. This game also seems to have amazing looking tracks, so I hope that it also plays real well.

Guess we know what the October free game will be. Whatever that free version of this was suppose to be.

Ah, that's why people have been saying the next horizon was possibly this year. Rumors.

Well, I'm not an expert on the industry, but wouldn't it be highly unusual to release such a game later this year, despite it not even being announced yet? I've noticed no ones questioning how that makes little sense.

However, to your other point, Forza Horizon was announced just a bit prior to E3 2012 and released in 2012. It's totally a thing that happens.

I could use something to do on my PS4 and I even liked the initial concept, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm kind of of two minds here. I, obviously, like that it has a date now, but that DLC pre-order thing just seems weird to me. Sure, not everyone has PS+ and/or just wants the full version, but does that mean people like myself with PS+ won't have a shot at the car packs until later on?

It's kind of a dumb question I know, since odds are the packs will show up on the store anyway, but I am curious. I had planned to just play whatever version they did for playstation plus but that sexy Mercedes black series dlc tease has me intrigued. Well played Sony, well played.

Horizon was really my fav racing game last gen (maybe tied with PGR4). I think a lot of the rumors of a H2 this year is due to this leak and of course a lot of speculation:
