For some reason, I'm a giant sucker for Dyansty Warriors games. I keep going back to them being liek YEAH THESE ARE AWESOME, and then after like an hour of playing I'm like fucking hell, they did it to me again. its the same fucking game.

Looks like same old Dynasty Warriors, same old generic-ass guitar soundtrack, same button-mashing slightly-fun combat, same awful voice acting.

Wow, this game is modern! You can actually change from one weapon to another while you mindlessly press the same combos over and over again and occasionally pause to hear horrible dialogue!

I've always wanted to like this series, I just never have. Probably never will... probably!

Much like the previous 20 different installments of the overarching Warriors franchise (including Orochi and Samurai), I'll end up playing this and loving the shit out of it. 
 
I'm just hoping that they fix Wei Yan.  His presentation in Dynasty Warriors 6 kind of pissed me off.  I mean, how the fuck you gonna take away the double pole blade?!?!  Hopefully, they fix him back to the way he was before.

This looks like an uprezzed Dreamcast game, with gameplay that belongs in the early 2000s for people with the need to commit virtual genocide

Tried that Trinity game demo. That was painful. It's like they combined Dynasty Warriors and a text based RPG into one game. Ugg.

So the game that was based on the chinese book the romance of the three kingdom now has a fourth kingdom? Perfect! Just what I should of expected from this series of near identical games.

You  know, I actually like this series...but the setting is getting kinda old. I'd like to see some different nations involved, other than Japan and China. Maybe add Mongols to the mix? Bladestorm wasn't really the same, but the Hundred Year's War was a good setting for this type of game. Or Native American tribe battles?

There are about 18 warring states in the book that you never read, and the game you never played is only very loosely based on that book you never read.  "

Dynasty Warriors are hands down my favorite franchise. 
I get that it's not very popular with many people as they think it's monotonous, but I have great fun with them.
