Is it just me or does this look almost identical to the previous game? Wait, didn't they already make a Most Wanted? Oh god I'm so confused.

Posted by dvorak

This is a full title and not a downloadable, right?

Know how much I'd bet that he's not in it?

Posted by MrRedwine

Criterion did not make a Most Wanted, they made a Hot Pursuit, which is COMPLETELY different.

Posted by CodeFire

Keeping this on my radar.

Posted by csl316

Everything here looks like what I most wanted.

But Brad beating something down in the intro is brutal in a Last of Us sort of way.

Posted by Dallas_Raines

This looks sharp.

Edited by gizmo88

Hell yes! This, AC3 and "The Last of Us" are the best games of the show.

Posted by CosmicBatman

Criterion has never let me down before

Posted by Acornactivist

I never got to play criterion's reboot of hot pursuit (sad face), but this looks like more of that. Im down.

Anyone else feel like this doesn't look quite as sharp as some of the other recent NFS games? Not as shiny or something...

Edited by darxpectre

I've been a long time NFS fan, but the franchise is suffering from these desperate remakes. This is looks exactly the same from Need For Speed: Most Wanted on Xbox and PlayStation 2 in 2005. All the way to the crashes and map details! What's worse is it looks like gamers can't customize their rides anymore - a staple in the original released in 2005. EA needs something fresh in the actual core mechanics - not just a new story. I'm absolutely NOT getting this one. The remake of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit was better than this crap.

Most Wanted was my second most favorite NFS (NFS: Underground has a special place in my heart), and this game is like that combined with Burnout Paradise, probably my favorite racing game of all time? I'm totally down with that.

Posted by Chango

Looks good. I'll play anything Criterion makes.

well maybe they spent that time on a campaign that isn't 2 hours long this time (looking at you NFS: The Run)

edit: after watching it i think i looks totally fine, a few things in the environment could look better for sure but its not done yet

the thing i noticed most was how quiet it is, could use some music

Who the F is Daniel Comfort?

Edited by BlazeHedgehog

As much as I like Criterion, no. I'm sorry, but getting a copy of Midnight Club 2 for the PC has reminded me just exactly how long we've been getting street racers. I'm so very, very, VERY tired of racing around cities. Hot Pursuit was a breath of fresh air because it let you get out on in the countryside, down highways leading through deserts and forests... the open road, man.

I abjectly refuse to go back to another forgettable, identical city. As of now, Forza Horizons looks like the Need for Speed game I want.

I'll buy this game based on the pedigree of Criterion.

Me too, but I'm still hoping they will make another proper Burnout game.

Can I go ahead and announce for 2014 Need For Speed: High Stakes?

Posted by LCom

Forget about what they called it, THEY JUST MADE BURNOUT AGAIN.

...

GOOD.

Boring gameplay video. Looks pretty though.

Posted by hagridore

Love it.

Posted by LucidDreams117

Give me customization and a proper single player. Blacklist style! Or no sell! I hate how Need for Speed has turned into this Facebook esque game where you just post times and compete with your friends. Ahh. Remember the days of Underground 2, Most Wanted and hell even Carbon? Ahh. How I miss those.

I had a need for burnout paradise 2 for a long time.

And this is Need for Paradise Most Burnout which is fine by me. Sorry for everyone that doesn't get the need for speed game they wanted, but I've waited too long for a follow up to Burnout Paradise for anyone to take this away from me.

Word!

Posted by ShaunassNZ

I love it, but I'm sure there's no customisation, and that was the only thing missing from Hot Pursuit I thought.

Nice to see Burnout with licensed cars though.

Posted by kalmis

If this is their view of the NFS: Most Wanted game, well no thanks.

Posted by SoulAssassin808

I want this game all over my body

Posted by adam1808

There's a shocking amount of EA branding in this city

Posted by Binman88

I never realised how much I actually wanted to play this type of game again until seeing this. I'm actually excited.

Posted by Soviet666

It will be so freaking annoying to escape the cops after each race.

Posted by leejunfan83

So it's Need for Speed World on consoles nice

Posted by AngelN7

I love Criterion games Burnout mainly but ... this is not what I call Most Wanted , it looks kinda generic street racing game with more autolog stuff open world and being chased by cops so why don't just call it Hot Pursuit 2? , no Black List "Boss Battles" , no destructible obstacles to stop the cops this isn't Most Wanted and it will probably be a good game but not what I was expecting.

Posted by FishboneJenkins

@munnyman5: I love it! Fiiiiiiiiiiiiive grrraaaaand!

Posted by theimmortalbum

So.. Burnout Paradise + real cars from NFS. Interesting.. I love the Burnout series so much.

Posted by SirBlakesmore

I think this is gonna give me just enough to REALLY want another Burnout Paradise. Hell, I'd even take another DLC expansion just to have new content for it. Come on EA, untie Criterion's hands already and let them go back home.

Posted by AngryRedPlumber

Those cops sound way too calm.

Posted by Alexandru

I have this game on PS2. It's pretty good.

Posted by neckface

Nice little nod to the royal family in the Speedwall names, who'd have figured Criterion for Royalists?

It looks like Most Wanted + Bournout.

  My reaction

Looks like the new Forza game is trying to do something similar this year. Wonder which will win out, I cannot imagine people buying the same game twice. Forza does seem forced and pretentious with the whole music carnival theme going can easily cause people to be turned off very fast. However, if Need for Speed is to close to Burn Out Paradise people will get a been there done that feeling and easily skip this release. It's going to be interesting to see what each brings to the table to make it stand out.

Posted by PentaCube

Hot pursuit was awesome, don't get me wrong, but this looks too far off from the relatively more "realistic" most wanted. It strikes me as more of a hot pursuit 1.5.
