Who cares that this game looks like Smash Bros. Seriously, it's a great genre that needs more titles. If you look at other genres like military fps there are so many games that look completely identical. This game does quite a lot different to the Smash Bros. series, it's comparison is in it's perspective and basic concept. I for one look forward to having this on my Vita.

@airules: yeah it's kinda distasteful just how like Smash Bros it actually looks, what makes it more dumb is the UI seems worse somehow, during the E3 presentation I genuinely don't think the guy commentating could tell who won.

@ShadowKnight508: It's quite sad because years ago people were clamoring for this sort of game and regardless of whetehr or not it copied the same formula everyone would have welcomed it and enjoyed it. Sadly everyone's become so jaded and irate everything is a rip-off that no one can enjoy. I look forward to this though. It will be a lot of fun with friends on the couch.

It's kinda weird that "Big Daddy" is a "Playstation All-Star" considering the original Bioshock came out a year later on PS3

Anyone else get the sense that someone just threw that PS Vita at the end? It's kind of sad how little Sony has acknowledged that thing this year.

Also, the Justice track is pretty comical. It's really good.

I wonder how many more characters we can expect, they better go completely wild with who they get. I want to see X1 Alpha up in this.

They should call this game SUPER Super Fighter: Super Edition.

I am looking forward to this. I love Super Smash Bros. and I love that Sony is making a version. Some of Sony's characters seem a little more bad-ass so I anticipate some awesome moves and matches.

Man, I could go for a new Jumping Flash. Those games were fantastic and adorable.

I'm a little surprised people aren't making more comparisons between this and the Powerstone games. Yeah its like Smash Bros in that's a brawler on a 2D plane, but the stages go into strange transitions like Powerstone 2 and the level 3 power ups remind me of the Powerstone transformations, like Sweet Tooth's level 3 (though Smash Bros did the same with Smash Balls). Honestly I'd really like to play this, I'd like to see how this plays out and curious to see who else makes it into the game.

I hope they dig deeper for characters than what we're seeing. SSBB opened the door for dozens of playable characters from weird, niche titles that most people never even heard of. If Sony plays it as safe as this trailer would seem to indicate, it would be a real bummer.

Oh fuck me, how did I not THINK of Tomba? That shit is one of my favorite games of all time. Croc better be in here too. God, now I am probably unreasonably excited about this.

It's missing so many characters like Jak, Ratchet, Sackboy, and (steal him away from Nintendo if you have to) MOTHERF*CKING Solid Snake!!!!

I don't like Smash Bros, but I did enjoy Neon Genesis Evangelion: Battle Orchestra and Battle Stadium D.O.N. (Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto).

If PSASBR is executed reasonably well, it would not be the first time someone had out-smash bro'd smash bros. In my opinion, anyway... I'm sure someone who actually cared about playing this kind of games (sober) would beg to differ:P

Wasn't really excited about this when it was announced, but now that I've seen it in action, it looks pretty cool.

If there is no Tomba, then I could care less.

Thank you Marino. At least SOMEONE ELSE remembers Blasto and Rab-bot. Jersey Devil would've been an even niche-ier remember though:)

I'll just be happy to see Spike from Ape Escape make it. Haven't seen a proper Ape Escape in a loooooong time, even though there was one for the Move. A stupid one, that was an on-rails shooter. That's retarded. Move controls would've been a PERFECT showcase for a proper new Ape Escape platformer/adventure. Sony should produce another one; maybe after Sanzaru releases Sly 4, they can do that? Ape Escape is one fun, colorful, charming series, boy.

I'm still pulling for Kurt from MDK.

I was thinking about Blasto! But then again, he and Qwark are essentially the same character, and Qwark is in the game as a background character...

Original Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, Jak and Ratchet need to be in this to justify its existence. They royally fucked up if they aren't.

I would kill for a new Parappa game.

So Nathan Drake just looks silly...so perhaps the Solid Snake of this game perhaps? Nolan North rattling off crazy one liners in the middle of combat would get a purchase out of me.

Ok, that trailer got me pumped. Jeff's right, if they really go with this it could be nuts.

Random character I'd like to see? Sir Dan from MediEvil. I never really got far in that game or it's sequel, but I always liked the look of the guy, and he'd fit right in.

I mean if it really expects to meet reasonable expectations.

Still waiting on either Jak and Daxter OR Ratchet and Clank to be OFFICIALLY announced.

The introduction, combined with the music, just struck me as really creepy. *shudders*
