Interesting...

Typo in the subtitle, it's "Dafoe", not "Defoe".

I'm way more interested in this game than I was before.

I don't know what this game is anymore!

not what I was expecting. I though she had like some sorta spiritual protector instead it turns out Ellen Page knows how to cut a mother fucker up.

Edited by Triumvir

Isn't this everything that David Cage says he dislikes in games?

Posted by Kazzenn

This trailer made the game look far more interesting.

Edited by ToTheNines

is this even the same game as last time? This looks like some generic third person shit. Granted it looks graphically amazing.

I'm tryin', Ringo, I'm tryin' reaaal hard to be interested in this game.

I'm thinking Jodie feels frustrated by the impact that the spirit has in her life (isolating her, forcing others away) so she finds a way to subdue and becomes fiercely intense in her physical training (perhaps has something to do with subduing the spirit) gets brought in to the military and something happens in that mission she gets sent on and the trauma or need for protection unlocks the spirit.

Beyond: Ground Zeroes

This actually made me less excited for the game.

It makes no sense to me that Ellen Page is running around ganking dudes in the dessert. But I fucking love some Ellen Page, so whatever.

Posted by joshwent

All this trailer made me think was that this game has to be like 20 hours long.

In a bad way.

Man, I have no idea what this game is, but I'm really intrigued by it. Love Ellen Page.

Yes, interesting.

huh. well that wasn't what I was expecting. idunno what I think.

The studio that can't ever seem to get action games quite right has partnered with Ellen Page to bring you: G.I. Jane with superpowers! Cool, maybe?

Edited by biggest_loser

Its like they dropped the whole spiritual thing for it to become a military type of game. What on earth...I'm actually really worried about this game now.

I don't know what this game is anymore, but Ellen Page as a crazy ass kicker is preeeeeeeeety sweet.

How did this turn into a Military shooter? I hope it's a small part of the game.

Edited by ChuckVsWorld

Maybe, the ghost scene from the first trailer is years before this one. Her powers get her recruited to be a Psychic Solider. Then, she becomes the Origami Killer.

You might even say that this game has two souls.

My thoughts exactly.

If I had to guess, it's probably a flash back or establishing sequence. Girl joins military, girl gets experimented on, girl gets rad powers.

David Cage, Quantic Dreams, watching a shallow imitation of a film, pretending it means anything, terrible script, awful acting, stilted uncanny valley animation. Sounds like Heavy Rain, and Heavy Rain was laughable, count me out. Sony has plenty of decent games in their lineup and this isn't one of them. This is an embarrassment.

Juno is cute and all, but I'm not sure that I buy her in this role. Dafoe being creepy, on the other hand, is always welcome and suitable.

Remember in Fahrenheit how half-way through it just sorta shifts from Se7en to The Matrix with all the subtlety of a truck through glass wall? That just happened, but in trailer form. I'm not sure if I should be disgusted or impressed.

Edited by flindip

The original premise sounded interesting. This looks like a pile of dog shit now.

as far as i remember there is no shooting, the quick time events are more hidden now. Things will slow down and you pick an action(or direction) and things happen without an on screen prompt. You also control the monster thing and make it push stuff, everthing else will be dynamic quick time stuff i believe.

I feel like if BTS wasn't similar looking to the far-visually-superior MGS5, then maybe it would make more impact.

Female protagonists are cool and all, but it's hard to suspend my disbelief when someone with such skinny arms is beating down grown men. Why can't she be toned up with some muscles to look athletic?

Edited by graf1k

My brain cannot reconcile what it sees in this trailer with what I saw in the first trailer @E3 last year. This is still the same game right? Maybe now it's Tom Clancy's Beyond: Two Souls?

Edited by Scampbell

@arch4non: True, though this seems really symptomatic to games, was also thinking the same thing when I saw the Mirror's Edge 2 trailer. If I recall correctly, Faith in the animated story parts of ME1 at least exuded some upper body strength, this doesn't seem to be the case for the upcoming sequel (at least from what I could glean).

I imagine this is simple the consequence of the fact that most of the people who's going to be playing these games will be male, and males tends to dislike muscular women - the market has spoken.

Game still looks interesting though.

Edited by paulunga

Here we go, David Cage trying to squeeze too many movie genres into one game. Again.

Let's at least hope you don't have to fight the internet at the end.

Ellen Page!?

Ellen Page!!??

ELLEEEN PAAAAGE!!!??!?

Edited by MeatSim

Call of Duty: Ellen Page Warfare.

Edited by Elwoodan

From what I understand the game takes place over a long period of her life, perhaps this still is the same game as the original police station scene, just in a very different part of the story.

This looks silly.

Blech. Pass.
