I thought I was jaded about sequels but Sucker Punch have me with this one.

The inFamous games have been really fun. Looking forward to this.

I hope this game doesn't have a HUD, it would make me very happy.

I like this. Reminds me of City 17. But Second Son.

Anyone else kinda underwhelmed with the way graphics are these days? Remember when you saw PS3/ XBOX 360 graphics coming off of the PS2/ XBOX generation? Those were a revelation. Watching this, I kinda get the feeling that yeah this looks good but we're kinda topped out at how impressed we can be by prettier graphics.

I get a nice Red Faction Guerrilla vibe from all that destructible environment and its a very, very good thing...

Reminds me that I should finish Infamous 2 one day....

@xtafxfoulfellow: The Graphics don't look a whole lot prettier, but the scope and the look of the worlds is what impresses me so far.

At first it sort of looks like inFamous, but then man, lots of stuff happening. This looks real good.

@xtafxfoulfellow: It was way bigger from the PS1 to the PS2 era than it was from PS2 to PS3. The graphical jump will always be smaller the closer we get to complete photorealism.

@xtafxfoulfellow: Pretty sure the PS1 to Dreamcast was the biggest jump I ever saw. But yeah, better hope these games look incredible in a couple years, because very few of them are really blowing me away this E3.

I'm loving the destruction and it looks less cartoony then inFamous 2 so I'm liking it. EXCITED

Holy shit guys, this looks fantastic! Love the more varied scenery. Still in a city, but much easier on the eyes. Gameplay looks like an absolute blast.

WOW! I was surprised how much they changed from the original Infamous series. None of that CLINGING onto surfaces at random, no recharging energy, NO INTERFACE, but still keeping that 90s comic book feeling. Very very very excellent. I'm saying this is game of show.

@freedomtown: He's probably about 30 years old by the looks of him and his brother, dude is native american so naturally looks pretty young, but yeah he's a little anarcho-angsty. I wouldn't go so far as to call him "emo" or "/wrists" though. You listened to the video right? I don't see anything emoscene here - But hey that's just like, your opinion, man.

gameplay looks solid, AI behaviour is neat, destructible environments are great but from what i've seen so far the protag looks super generic. it shouldn't feel like to much to ask at this point to have more interesting characters in action games, could add a lot of depth to a pretty shallow genre

Honestly it's not necessarily the graphics themselves but the scope of what's going on there. Looks very immersive.

It's weird - everything looks so good that the smallest flaws in animation or texture quality seem bigger than they would otherwise.

I feel like that's going to be a big problem with this upcoming generation.

Good thing someone had God mode on. Such sloppy play would've lead to death in the last inFamous.

The destruction is nice, but all the powers just remind me of Cole's but with a smoke effect applied. I was expecting something a little more different I guess, I'm sure the game will still be great and the later powers will change things up but at the moment it looks very iterative.

This could had easily been a copy and paste of the last InFamous but their smart to change some the style of the character as he moves, the abilities and how they work, and destructive environments. Very nice SuckerPunch.

Wow that was a surprisingly pretty game. Solid looking too. Infamous 1&2 at their best still looked kind of weird and had this layer of jank that was hard to nail down. But damn does Second Son look good.

I really need to get into DOTA so I don't buy a PS4.

Launch day PS4 delivery CAN NOT come soon enough.

Sucker Punch really needs to hire someone that can make a protaganist that doesn't make me want to fall asleep every time I think of hhhhhhh..zzzzzzzzz

It looks pretty good. I loved the first 2 games. I wish they'd tone down the constant enemy bombardment though, that was a major pain in the ass in the previous ones.

I'm getting the vibe that this may suffer from some ludonarrative dissonance. Obviously too early to tell, just judging from a couple of trailers, but the dynamic between the two brothers, where one works for the police, and the other just casually killing police officers while saying something about "let's go save some lives!". I do hope they work that out in the actual game, because this seems like it goes beyond Uncharted territory straight into GTA IV levels of disconnect between story and gameplay.

@xtafxfoulfellow I just finished playing inFamous 2 and the DLC and this looks fantastic. It looks crisp, clean and smooth. InFamous 2 suffered badly with bad frame rates that dropped into single digits in some cases so I'll be glad if this runs as a constant 60. It's also a q1 2014 game so it's still early days yet. I'm sure we'll be blown away by whatever Naughty Dog come up with as The Last of Us looks stunning.

Hmm...don't particularly care for what they've done to the aiming. Some of the animations look a little bit off too.

I'm so tired of hearing Troy Baker so it's really hard for me to like this guy already.

Man not sure what you guys are looking at. Go back and play Infamous 2. I think some of you are forgetting how bad Infamous looked in some spots.

I'm a sucker (punch) for this series, so I'm definitely in. Looks like some good ol' fashioned superpower fun.

Yeah I'd prefer if he kept facing forward while walking backwards. Looks super awkward the way it is.

Last gen was assisted by the switch to HD as well. If you look at some in-engine stuff like The Order, Final Fantasy XV, and that Quantic Dream tech demo, I'm pretty sure these systems are WAY beyond PS3/360. Also, keep in mind how long it took to get the graphics to where they are now on current gen. Now imagine what games will look like in about 2-3 years on these next-gen systems.

For you, it may take those few years before you can be dazzled...but it will happen!

One of the few situations where "it still looks like the previous game" is completely fine with me. Can't wait to see some of the inevitable giant enemies and crazy battles where everything just gets thrown together.

The Pacific Science Center is most definitely not on the waterfront. Looks like they're making their own version of Seattle instead of recreating it exactly. Probably a good choice, some boring stretches without tall buildings around here. Looks neat.

Infamous is one my favorite franchises from this gen, so I'm super excited about this, it looks amazing.

I really want to play this. I loved the first game.
