Punishment? Punishments? Which one is it?!

Posted by MooseyMcMan

Justin did a great job hyping this game.

Shit, that trailer was better than Metal Gear Solid's!

I wonder if the interrogation sequences will be like L.A. Noire?

Posted by Irvandus

I can't believe I want to play this dumb game.

Posted by Hassun

I wonder how many people Justin McElroy has sold on this game.

Legendary.

Got more than I needed. Thank you.

Multiple punishments for the same crime!

What, omg, this looks.. this looks really cool...

Thank you based McElroy.

For a company who, by Justin McElroy's account, does NOT know how to show their games at E3, this trailer was surprisingly well-done. I'm intrigued.

I haven't listened to the shows yet but reading these comments makes me SUPER-excited for another great McElroy-Sherlock -story.

Posted by MarkWahlberg

So has anyone actually played any of these games? Might be down for a decent puzzle-adventury thing.

Posted by Toppingman

@benmo316, yeah! I could definitely do with more L.A. Noire-style investigations. Haven't been stoked to check out a Sherlock Holmes game since the Cthulhu one, but this has my interest.

Yo, that was a great trailer. Really digging the music and the interesting camera cuts.

It is super awesome how much extra attention this game has gotten because Justin McElroy can tell funny stories about the preview events.

Crazy thing is this game actually looks good. And it has a better name the Disney Infinity Marvel Superheroes 2.0

I was going to buy this just because McElroy sold everyone on it last night. HOW could you not want to check this game out after that story. But then this trailer sealed it. It actually looks like it might be a decent game.

Posted by impartialgecko

I'm told there is not a lot of action in this game.

This is currently $10 off on Amazon for PS4 right now. ($49.99). Every other version is $59.99. Better pre order that, oh wait let me skip this real quick. Guilty.

As a Sherlock Holmes fan I'd say these games do a pretty good job portraying classic Sherlock Homles and Watson. These fill my Holmes need more then any of these modern takes on the character.

Posted by Benmo316

@toppingman: Wait. Woah. There was a Cthulhu Sherlock Holmes game? I gotta look this up.

Yah this is up there with some of the better AAA game trailers. I especially liked the music and the editing fit in perfectly.

McElroy might have sold me on this.

They were right. At the very least, that is a damn fine trailer.

Posted by dancingpolkabear

@benmo316: The crazy part is Sherlock: The Awakening is actually quite good too.

damn the mcelroys were right

Not gonna lie, that was a pretty rad trailer.

Man, I am REALLY digging the music here.

Posted by Accolade

Awfully jolly soundtrack for a murder.

Posted by pekoe212

Watson has an axe. What. Really interesting trailer. I've played all Frogware's SH games, the last one was par for the course: beautiful-looking with sort of clunky puzzle solving gameplay. I'm curious if they have changed/improved the gameplay in this one or just put out kickass trailer.

Posted by AaronM

Dang, what a unexpectedly good trailer.

Posted by SpikeDelight

Actually a way better trailer than I expected from hearing McElroy's description of this game...

Posted by Alo81

Woahhhh that trailer was pretty damn good! Thanks for the tip of Mr. McElroy.

Its not that they dont know but games like Sherlock, The witcher and Civ cant have any justice in 15min presentations. Check some skyscrapers falling down in a huge explosion at Battlefield hardline if you want the shallow stuff E3 is all about.

guys i could be wrong but i'm pretty sure it was the girl who killed him.

McElroy talking about this game is in this video:

Conversation starts about 26:00 minutes in.

At this point JMac should be getting paid by their PR department.

Also that was actually a pretty great trailer.

@markwahlberg:

I played The Testament of Sherlock Holmes and loved it, despite the clunky controls. There's less of you really solving the crime, and more of you solving game puzzles. But, I had a great time with it nonetheless.

You are able to piece together what's going on by way of a "deduction board". Basically, you take some clues of what's going on and deduce that something must be true because of it.

This game (Crimes and Punishments) is going to be better, with better controls and better graphics.
