Is drifting still a thing? Also; I don't trust any sport where the winner is decided by a judges score.

Actually racing is about placing 1st.

This is the worst promo spot for a game I think I have ever seen.

Did they forget that they stated they were trying to get away from the GRID 2 drift, arcade style gameplay and bring the game back to its GRID 1 racing roots? I can only guess so because this makes the game look like the shittier GRID 2.

Drifting wasn't fun in Dirt 3 and I can't imagine it'll be fun here.

what the hell is going on in this community, too jaded for a racing game? there has barely been any recently, and Codemasters is only releasing this GRID because they know they fucked up with GRID 2.

@sharkman: I'm excited for this game if that helps.

The video I saw of people playing it at E3 also made it look like a shittier GRID 2. Way less interested now.

@sharkman: If they want to get people excited about racing games maybe they should release a trailer with racing.

Wow the negativity in this comment section ^^ They've shown videos of the racing before, why is it wrong to show of the drifting as well? It's not like you can't have drifting in a realistic racing game.

Sorry folks, but I'm damn excited for Autosport. I was so disappointed with Grid 2, this looks like Codemasters have at least learnt a lesson. The original Grid is a game I continue to play to this day, happy the career mode is familiar to the original.

Drifting was a key part of Grid 1, and in fact had an entire subsection of events designed around it. Stop whining.

I thought I knew English.

Yeah, the comment section here is just dumb. That can happen when you're both an idiot and a cynic.

Shame this is posted as an E3 trailer when it's just one of a bunch of videos for the different racing styles.

Get Flamboyant or get Fat?

I really enjoyed Grid 1 save for the fact that Codemasters fucked over the PC players. And I also skipped Grid 2 for the lack of cock pit view (even though I did like the Chris Harris 12C promo) so this getting back more to Grid 1 is good imo.

But I dont know, Project CARS looks like its what I really want. All the other video's I've seen make the engine makes the game look too dark with and still look to have a bland color palette.

I'm excited.

Grid 2 was the best racing game ever made, perfect blend of realistic handling and arcade action. Any racing game that requires a racing line to play properly is a poor racing game.

You guys go have fun with your sim racers where you need to practice a track for 10+ hours to play without a racing line, I'll be having fun with Grid.

I thought the original Grid was boring.

Wait a minute, what did they do to fuck us over with Grid 1?

At the end of the day, I'm just looking for skill-based racer where precision and consistency are more important than aggression and luck. From my perspective, yes, GRID 1 was fantastic, but GRID 2 was equally fantastic... and Autosport looks to be more of the same, so I have no complaints.
