Good to know I won't be tempted into buying another AC after the disappointment of 4.

If you want an example of how not to have a revolution, just look at the French Revolution.

Now that the Desmond story has been totally thrown out, I might have a reason to get back into this franchise.

Do you hear the people sing?

Singing a song of angry men?

It is the music of the people,

Who will not be slaves again.

I like the look of this game, but have zero interest in co-op. If I wanted to interact with others I would go...outside!!!

So are they going to try and address moral gray areas with the plot this time or is it going to be as black and white as previous Assassin's Creed games? Because if we're expected to unquestioningly side with the crazed revolutionaries sticking people's heads on pikes...

Graphically it's bananas. It looks so much more smooth, and I'm glad they're finally allowing you to crouch instead of only being able to hide in stalking areas. Just hope traversal is less janky; playing AC3 and 4, I got so frustrated because I'd auto climb on every stupid little ledge and it'd be stupid hard to walk off.

It looks good, AC always looks good. But uh kind of looks exactly the same combat wise. I guess the stealth kill animation where he just tosses the guy down instead of hiding him behind a corner is okay though. If there's one game that doesn't need co-op in its singleplayer environments it'd be AC. Of course if Napoleon's in it I'm duty bound to buy it at some point.

I know the rich people are supposed to be real bad, but I still felt a little uncomfortable at the joyful violence of the peasants at the end of the video.

Well, if any publisher would be inclined to handle this subject with tact, it'd be Ubisoft, right?

I feel like each Assassin's Creed game is making me feel worse and worse about what I'm doing. AC4 was rough. Live free on the high seas! Free to... murder a bunch of poor souls on the open sea.

In mean, in 4 you are straight up murdering people just for their stuff. I'm not saying being a pirate ain't fun, but I feel like a pretty bad guy.

Saaaaaame shit.

It's the same mechanics, the same combat, the same missions. Also the french setting does nothing for me. I think this is the point in the series when I finally check out.

How on earth is Ubisoft, a French company, making a game set in France during the French Revolution, where everyone has 'neutral' British accents for the voice work? In AC2 they at least gave everyone Italian accents and did a cool thing with the Italian translation and subtitles. This... this is something I sincerely hope they fix.

Especially when you consider that many other Ubisoft games have the issue of their voice actors speaking with slight French-Canadian accents. You'd think they could just have their stable of voice actors speak with their normal accents.

Also it would be great if all 4 of the assassins sounded like the lumberjack from the Bugs Bunny cartoons.

Pretty much how I felt the whole time watching that trailer. I wasn't very comfortable siding with such a bloodthirsty mob as they slaughtered soldiers and civilians alike.

Also, British accents? Come on Ubisoft. You mean to tell me you've been sneaking all those French voice actors into your games all these years but you won't put them into your French revolution game?

Those accents aren't entirely accurate, but the pompous attitude of those French royals are.

It took the series this long to finally be able to crouch.
