Sounds like you have really high standards :) It looks fantastic all around to me!

I'm oddly less interested in Destiny, and I don't like that feeling.

Hmmm. I know. It's Bungie. They created Guilty Spark. They have all the right to make something similar and have it call you the guardian. But still, I can't get over it. They really couldn't have changed it just a bit more.

The jet jumping brute like enemies aren't helping either.

I still don't know what this game even is exactly, other than this epic thing that's supposed to be a big deal

everyone who creates stuff basically just makes the same thing over and over again until they're dead

over/under on the little guy being a bad little robot man?

The traveler is being hunted by Durandal who wants its power to stop the inevitable closure of the universe. Or something.

Posted by Michigan_Jack

@shadowconqueror: Do you think it will take place in the Marathon universe? I just don't see them doing that, but than again I also wasn't expecting to see a Wheatley |Spark either.

I appreciate what Bungie did in ODST and Reach and would be lying to say if not i'm not interested in playing a new Bungie shooter. The only thing is since I built my first PC 2 years ago, my ability to use a controller with a shooter has diminished to that of a 3 year old Iguana.

Me and the Imp will fuck you up!

Honestly, I'm not quite sure what everyone is complaining about, sure it may not exactly be revolutionary, but it definitely looks absolutely amazing, and it seems like a very entertaining and interesting experience.

This is definitely one the list.

That... what is this game ?

@liquidsnakegfer9: @zemadhatter: It is a multiplayer shooter in the vein of what borderlands would be if it were more serious and went full multiplayer. IE: Took features from other games like repeatable missions, drop in and out co op, the shooter version of raids, world bosses, real vehicle combat, individual loot so no fighting over chests, blah blah. Basically take Borderlands basic gameplay, mash it with planetside 2 (just not the warring factions bit), take a dash of real mmo's, and then give it the gameplay refinement of Halo.

That is what Destiny is supposed to be.

People have some sort of concept that unless it is a digital version of Jesus then it fails somehow. Basically gamers are over analyzing and seeming to think the game promised things it hasn't and are holding to some ideal that they created in their head instead of you know... waiting for gameplay trailers.

@karkarov: Yeah, it's supposed to be a fun FPS RPG type game with good story and fun enemies, why does it have to be the greatest game ever made?

Posted by ammahoela

yes! mass effect 4!

oh wait!

@theacidskull: Hell if I know. I have already pre ordered and am eagerly awaiting the beta. Everyone I know in the alpha loves it. I like borderlands, I like mmo's, I agree with my friends most of the time. Seems like a winner for me even if it doesn't reinvent video games.

I'm on the same page, seems like a game that will be an absolute blast.

Its Halo gameplay with Borderlands style RPG elements in a Stalker like universe of burnt out rusted cars and old dilapidated buildings with a heavy emphasis on Co-op/MMO style play.

@karkarov: Its not that this game doesn't look amazing, its just that I have a huge backlog of amazing games from last gen. I just don't know if I have room in my life for this... which is surprising because I was pretty hyped for Halo 3 at the time.

Posted by Karkarov

@l33t_haxor: i have a backlog too dude but I realize something, it is a backlog for a reason. I own both Darksiders, got them both on some sale for 5 dollars. I have still never played either. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that I never felt compelled to buy them until they were dirt cheap. That's what most peoples backlogs are like on games, something they got when it cost a buck.

And therein lies the rub. If it wasn't worth buying to you until it was only a buck fifty is it a game you really care about playing anyway? For me, not really, and I am trying to stop buying these sales on the off chance in 5 years I might be bored enough to try one. Destiny on the other hand for me is a game I am more than happy to drop full MSRP. If you are not feeling it enough to drop full price then it probably is never going to be a game for you anyway, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Dinklage's little robotic floaty thing reminds me less of Guilty Spark and more of Kevin Sorbo's robotic floaty thing from The Conduit.

With games like these, I'm always sad, that I got progressively less and less time as I'm finishing up college. I almost never start such games, since they involve committing too much time to really enjoy it :(

I'll take Terence Stamp over Peter Dinklage any day.
