@godlyawesomeguy Having watched the seven minute video, I'd say they have plenty to show, but wont until Tuesday. I think this is them trying to release something about the game first lol.

The shot of the helicopter crashing into the car confirms that this is indeed a battlefield game. Could use more jets though, I don't care how they have to work it into the fiction.

All this talk of guns makes me want to curl up like a ball, in a dark corner... and play the Sims!!!! Knowing E.A. they've probably put guns in that too now though.

You know, I'm totally okay with this. Just seems like kind of a dumb action romp. At least it's not yet another military one? And I kind of think the Payday games are awful, so I'm interested to see how these guys handle similar ideas.

@sbarre: If this turns out to be the Bad Boys 2 videogame that I never knew I wanted I might weep for joy.

This is the first Battlefield game that has me interested since 2142, but that might just be because I like dumb crime action movies.

Ehh, wouldn't expect any of the interesting mechanics of Payday games, from the gameplay footage passed around, looks like a Battlefield game with tasers and handcuffs (maybe they're not even manual like SWAT 4). I'm not expecting authenticity either, I mean parachutes on cops? Using Gatling guns and RPGs to take down vehicles? Makes sense for soldiers in BF 2-4, but not here, so there is that dissonance.

Man...I really want a SWAT 5. Who's with me?

This seems like the sort of thing I would of enjoyed seeing unveiled at e3.

Totally, that slow and methodical pace is much more fitting for swat teams and I'm sick of annual michael bay video games.

Also this is the first Battlefield game that isn't a Battlefield game at all.

Nothing wrong with teasers. Just an action filled hype video...

I'm excited for Battlefield to be trying something new; Risks in the form of breaking the mold is better fan service than released the same old thing 4th time in a row.

I am so glad that all the other videos were leaked, those actually made the game look interesting. This trailer does quite the opposite for me.

Now this just makes me wish there was a major DLC pack for this where everything takes place in Hong Kong. Actually, if some folks made a Sleeping Dogs' version of Battlefield, that would be pretty rad.

I think these days EA just puts every one of its studios under a specific brand. Like Bioware is three or four different studios. DICE now includes the LA EA studio. And Likewise Visceral consists of like a half dozen studios. Basically all of the "core game" studios that do not fall under the DICE or Bioware banner are now simply called Visceral. It's just their form of branding. At some point EA realized people would become more attached to their games if they were made by a named studio instead of just EA City Name. So they gave a whole bunch of their studios new names. The studios that made good games kept those names (like Visceral) while the ones that didn't (like Danger Close) had their names slowly replaced with the names of the more popular studios.

They have me interested so far.

I like the concept, but I hope they don't just try to Call o Duty it (since it seems like a replacement for MOH as an off-year Battlefield). I really like the feel of BF games and I hope they don't screw with that. I hope they let me play as a gruff detective with just a handgun.

Eh, no. It's absurd that they are trying to equate police work with military battles. I know this is political, but the US seems to be pursuing a ludicrous policy of "militarizing" their police force, giving them battle rifles, and almost full on "solider" gear. The police in the US are looking scarier and scarier and it's just a bit silly and unwarranted.

So it's a battlefield huh? Really? The streets of America are full of Ak-47 wielding masked terrorists 24/7, with constant explosions and crashing helicopters? This is so over the top.
