I like that EA is trying to capture the emotion of the sport in their game. That's something they have always been jaw-droppingly terrible at with Madden.

I miss the Fight Night games. They need to get back on that.

This! Please stop wasting this tech on stupid ass UFC and get back to the sweet science. If these are the real in game graphics though, this is probably the best i've ever seen, even better than 2k14

Haha. I'm sure they use normal maps for them in-game instead of actual geometry but it was still funny to hear that paired with this imagery.

I assure you, you will not be able to handle the Next Gen Nipplage of EA Sports' UFC 2: Nippledome

@vegetashonor: Ah. I guess there is hope for the engine after all. I feel like the reviews for Madden, FIFA, and NBA all felt like the fancy animation kind of lowered the playability of the games. I just hope they don't sacrifice fun for realism. I've felt for years now that EA's sports games have gone way too far towards the sim side of things. I really enjoyed NBA Street back on the PS2 and Xbox more than any of either 2K or EA's basketball games since for example. Maybe I'm in the minority on that, but I feel like every graphical and gameplay "upgrade" EA has made to their sports games has been to make it more like the real sport often to the detriment of making a fun game. Maybe it's just me but then again watching Jeff and Vinny play EA's games I get the feeling they really wish sports games were simpler as well.

@raven10: it does, AND they've significantly reduced the hitboxes so that strikes actually have to look like they landed. Plus chokes and other various submissions are actually looking like chokes, instead of a dudes arm like 4 inches away and they "act" like it's a choke. It's a technical powerhouse. Let's see if the gameplay can match it.

Gustaffson! To think he went from not even being in the game to being on the cover.

Hope the gameplay is great, but I honestly doubt it will be!

If it plays anything like EA Sports MMA (which is more than likely exactly what it'll play like) then it'll be a lot more fluid than the THQ games and should be good.

EA MMA was terrible. Only even remotely tolerable thing was the standup, and even that didn't come close to the fight night or old PS2 K1 games when it come to punching dudes in the face.

Animations were bad, move selection was awful, ground game was overly simplistic 2 button bullshit.

There's a reason the game sold like 11 copies.

Not it wasn't. It was awesome and actually looked more like an MMA match then rock em sock em robots the game (Undisputed). All those complaints are absurd. Also know why it didn't sell well, despite having an awesome roster? It didn't have UFC on the box. Don't pretend otherwise.

This game is out soon, and they have shown almost nothing of it, given the recent track record at EA, I am worried about this, I loved the old THQ games. Fingers crossed it is not another crew job from them.

It's another MMA game that will probably play like EA's previous MMA game. Showing off gameplay more early than this would be overhyping it. Saying that though im looking forward to it. Having played a lot of UFC I was put off by EA's version of it to start with but once you get used to the mechanics it felt a lot more natural than THQ's UFC.

Agreed. I don't think there has been a great MMA game yet, but the THQ ones weren't even good. I was most annoyed by how nothing blended together and everything was so clearly it's own motion, strung together randomly, as well as the complete lack of impact.

I hope this will be the one game that gets it right.

No offense EA but with your track record lately, when all you show is a pre alpha build and this trailer it makes me hesitant. I will wait for all the reviews before i pick this one up.

Even with EA's track record for other stuff, EA Sports games are generally of good quality. I'm sure it will be fine.
