Cookie Trap?

Online
Posted by IWATCHJEFFWHILEHESLEEPS

I think eating both cookies and cream within the same meal is a bit intense. I mean, who just straight up drinks cream anyways? That's disgusting.

Posted by Mento

From put out so much weird shit before Demon's Souls (which, don't get me wrong, is very weird as well). I was hoping they'd cover King's Field or Kuon, but I'm down with Cookie and Cream for now. His love for this game explains why Dan's so good at all those co-op Mario Party games.

This game was hard.

Is this still Giant Bomb? Feel like I've been visiting www.DanAndDrew.Com the past few days or something.

That's what happens when Jeff leaves and all Brad wants to do is escape to DOTA.

...did @drewbert make a Stephen Lynch reference?

Posted by MildMolasses

This is the most innovative game in history.

When can we expect the premium "All A's" feature?

Posted by Sarumarine

Now I just want to see a speedrun of this game. Haha. From Software is such a weird developer considering their history and where they are now.

This in-depth guide on how to A-rank the first level of The Adventures of Cookie and Cream is really appreciated.

Yay, Kuri Kuri Mix!

The video dan is referring to.

The true Dark Souls starts here...?

Posted by TimesHero

The video dan is referring to.

The one guy in the background who said "That was everything we hoped for." reminded me of what Ryan said in the toilet pie video.

Posted by Nigthguy

Oh man I used to play this with my dad when I was younger and all I can remember is that it gets balls hard and we never finished it.

Posted by Joe423

I can't get enough of Dan and Drew. MORE!

Posted by MooseyMcMan

From Software is the best. They make such weird, weird stuff. And it's hilarious to go back and look at these weird-ass games they used to make before From Software became a recognizable name.

Man, I know I'm beating a dead horse but I was 10 when this game came out and I had no problems whatsoever with the first few levels. Like Dan wondering about what the buttons at the end of the first level did was so obvious. Also Drew just walking in the water all the time, just jump over every single gap, don't risk it.

I think watching some of these videos is actually a health hazard for me...

VERY GOOD

I want to try playing this Brothers style now.

Posted by gaftra

There is something really wonderful about Dan and Drew videos. Just a real wide-eyed heartfelt enthusiasm.

Posted by icaje

Drew: "So, do you know anything about this game...?"

Dan: "Um, no"

Not exactly what I'd call encyclopedic. Jeff's gonna be mad!

Posted by forteexe21

Do they have overscan problems in the QL room? I often notice they dont see stuff on the edges of the screen. I doubt theyre the fastest. I think this was played on AGDQ last January.

Edited by melodiousj

Wo wait! You could map both characters to a single controller?

Wow, Brothers wasn't nearly as innovative as Brad would have you believe.

Edited by Tondo

Cool bombastica. Never even heard of this game before but it looks like great co-op fun. D&D were awesome as always.

Posted by defcomm

They really got into it in the end there. Nice to see that once in a while!

I was working on a similar thing in the blender game engine back in like 98 or whatever, using the arrow keys and wasd to move two characters around at once.

I also have this old prototype pong thing where you move both paddles with the sticks, and there's a breakout style bunch of blocks in the middle that I've been wanting to see if I can get into unity.

really want to do some penalty pickups that will flip an axis, make the left stick control the right paddle, etc.

If I've had those kinds of ideas I'm sure most people have, because I'm one of the least innovative people to ever be born, and that's a fact.

That rooster was Praising the Sun!

Really enjoyed that 2nd half of this video when you guys went back and actually tried to do a good run...

More stuff like that from time to time please, it adds a extra layer rather than just going into a game completely blind and just doing the bare minimum to progress.

Posted by DarkbeatDK

I think you should start sitting closer to the TV you are playing on.

Posted by DeadpanCakes

Hooooly shit, this game was made by From Software...? I got this game for my, like, 10th birthday or something. Weiiiird..

Dan: D is Dan

Drew: *sad face*

Very surprised that this wasn't a Patrick video.

Also, I really didn't care for this game, personally.

This is really picky of me, but when Jeff and Alex do Bombastica's they impart some encyclopedic knowledge on the games: some historical info about it's development and how it was regarded at the time, interesting facts about it, and they generally have a deep knowledge of the game's mechanics (or at least make it seem that way).

This video is more like "Old Game Quick Look". It was still entertaining to watch, but I missed some of the more serious and informative bits as compared Jeff and Alex's Encyclopedia Bombasticas.

Edited by antivanti

Do I need to play this before I get into Dark Souls to get the entire story?

...did @drewbert make a Stephen Lynch reference?

He sure did!

Edited by I_Stay_Puft

For the longest time I loathed this game but then I found out the game I thought I hated was actually the game 40 Winks. I now hate 40 Winks, not this game.

Posted by AMyggen

This was pretty great!

Posted by andrew2696

This game is about taking back the Moon. Destiny got its inspiration from this.

Edited by BlazeLE

@soap: you say that like its a bad thing...

also wasnt there a game informer replay on this game?

Posted by 1upmuffin

This is great!

Posted by Rakune

oh god the last half was excellent.

Edited by Fuzzy_Dunlop

On the topic of weird From Software games, @danryckert should do a Bombastica of Metal Wolf Chaos. The plot involves the President of the US, equipped with a fucking mech, reclaiming America from the corrupt Vice President, who has started a reign of terror in the US. Reinstituting slavery as one example. The game was only released in Japan for the original Xbox, but is completely voice acted in amazing English.

I think he would have a profound appreciation for it.

Posted by SpunkyHePanda

I love what that became.

The exact team that made Dark Souls made it, Dan played it with his manager at FuncoLand, and Dan and Drew hold the world record score for the first level "as far as [they] know."

What more could you possibly need to know?
