Oh thank fuck. I'm so glad you guys looked at some hints to this sidequest, and I don't blame you. It's nigh impenetrable.

Captain Planet personal guest appearance.

And so it begins.

So he still has it but has no recollection... Oh, ohhh! ... of jackin' it, I guess?

I'm so immature.

Ah, A wonderful 45 minute episode caused by a mistranslation.

For those not in the know, the "One of you close to someone needs help" line is supposed to be "All of you are close to people who need help" referring to the collection of sidequests he just named and isn't another sidequest.

I feel with them just using Luminaire with Brono that the Rainbow will go to waste. Should put that Gold Stud on Bagus.

Posted by Roy42

Put your hand up if you are honestly surprised that they didn't get the ruby armour. If so, you're probably also expecting that they'll get the 16 speed tabs in the Black Omen.

On that note, I really wish there was a way to bypass the paradox that would be created by doing so and just end up with 48 speed tabs by working backwards. Obviously a bit game-breaking, but it'd be nice.

Guys! Go at the blue pyramid in the present!

Posted by paulunga

In my continuing series on Ryan and Patrick's mindboggling behaviour: Why did they never even try to check out the glowing pyramid in 1000 AD even though they were so intrigued by it in 600 BC when doing Ozzie's Fortress?

They really should have fought Lavos live

Because they forgot. Nothing mind boggling about that.

Seems like they're reading more of the comments then they let on. I gotta say I'm with'em on this one: the game doesn't really hand out any clues...

Perhaps a live episode? I hope I'll be able to watch it, in case they finish the game.

Posted by Xarash

@AxleStukov: That makes so much more sense, damn.

Posted by Viking_Funeral

I'm ready. Let's go to Lavos.

Yeah, they really should have read this comment earlier... so annoying!

I'm glad they are addressing the whole playing ER purely debacle that has ravaged the comment section since the inception of this ER and the earlier ones as well. I guess some people still don't get what the point of it is.

I guess I'm lucky since I have no attachment to this series and haven't played it since it came out, so their bumbling and fumbling and all the "errors" aren't as egregious to me as they are to others.

In the end bumbling and fumbling around is the bread and butter of an ER. ^^ And that's why I come back to it.

There should be a filter before you post if you're giving "advice" on these things.

@RVonE: How can you forget something you fly over once an episode.

So, Crono Cross next week?

Posted by RVonE

@paulunga: You can forget that you haven't thoroughly explored that area.

Posted by Ronald

Don't fight Lavos next. Just redo the Black Omen in the past two more times.

Posted by dr_mantas

Of course they always read the comments, at least a little bit. They always have. In all Endurance Runs. Just like they record episodes in advance. Nothing wrong with any of that.

It's all in good fun.

I love Rainbows! :P

I was sure this was reference to queen zeal, the last 15 years or so of my life have been a lie.

It's amusing to think that in this playthrough of Chrono Trigger, the real chancellor will die horribly being trapped in that chest in the castle.

Posted by Baal_Sagoth

Yeah, a final adorable dance session to the Jurassic rhythm. Excellent. Can't wait to see if the team has what it takes to defeat Lavos. Not knowing the game I fully expect them to be able to do it, even if it might take a couple of tries.

@AxleStukov:

That makes this entire episode 10 times more hilarious

Posted by Speaker4TheDead

They really should have gotten the prism dress for bucca...she's a beast with the wonder shot, sun shades, and prism dress

Posted by CaptainSandwich

@Pozo: They already got the Chancellor out. They thought his parade planning was part of a sidequest, initially.

Also, Ryan/Patrick...you got spit out of the whirlpool by exiting the Magic Cave and ended up at Bucca's house. This isn't anything important.

Posted by Calavero

Those conversations with the party members and Brono's mom where hilarious. Also can't believe this is almost over. It feels like yesterday when I watched the first episode...

I also thought this forever, though the rumor I read recently had that the line referred to an sidequest to save Schala that never made it into the game (and which might be in the DS version?). The mistranslation makes more sense though.

I kinda like Team Science (Brono, Bucca, Bobo). The only missing thing is a good healing option.

Let em pronounce it how they see it. Bahamut in my childhood was "Buh-HA-mit", and when I heard the correct pronunciation of "BAHA-MUTE" I laughed. Such an awful way to say that.

@Fawkes said:

@damnable_fiend: If you're going to get mad at the way Patrick pronounces something that shouldn't even be in the top 5. At least that's the way that name looks. There's an N in Luminaire.

Lumière is much cooler.

GO AHEAD. BE HIS GUEST. LUMIÈRE DON'T GIVE A FUUUU-

Are you sure? Because every other mistranslated or misleading piece of text is updated in the DS version but that line is the same.

Also, after you fight Queen Zeal, if you use the gate to go back to the end of time, he no longer says that line and talks about her finally being at rest...
