Yeah, seriously.  I wanted to see Ishtar, and the guys just skipped her entirely.

Yeah, the dungeon is the one from Charlie's dream.  I'm pretty sure they got Thor before, but just didn't bother to use him.

@Baal_Sagoth:
Igor and a random assistant are in every Persona game. The earlier ones sort of explain Igor's position better as a servant of the butterfly dude (see: Persona Quick Look), but I', pretty sure the only thing you can take from this game about them is that they hang out and help you.

As to the God Boss Fight, you wont be disappointed.

Looks like it's coming to an end.

What's with all of the cop-out JRPG bosses.  Everythings a Deus ex machina.
Chase someone for 90 hours and now in the last few, you meet two "Haha! It's really me!" bosses in a row.

The endurance run does not stop will not stop.

She probably gave birth to them, too. Boy, I just had the worst mental image … "

Haha, true - but if we're gonna go down that route I'm actually a bit more concerned about that lady giving birth to the strange underwater-mine-eyeball device ... that couldn't have been pleasant ;)

@Waffles13:
Thanks for clearing that up! I completely missed the continuity of those guys in the Persona series.
As for the boss fight: I'm very much looking forward to it. This ER has been absolutely awesome because I probably never would've experienced this great storyline otherwise. The latest twist about Izanami being connected to the events has proven to me how carefully and thoughfully crafted P4's plot really is.

@wompa421: I played it on Beginner, took me 51 hours. And it probably could've been a couple hours quicker than that, think I left it running a couple of times.

Whoa, I stayed up late to start watching this one but about 40 minutes in I had to pause it and get some sleep. I like the look of the new dungeon and it's cool that we got to see the whole thing with the gas station attendant but it feels a little off-pace and tacked on to me to have the game make such a big deal about everything being over and Charlie saying goodbye to all his friends, before just throwing in another antagonist with another dungeon at the last minute.

I guess calling it "bonus ending" would be more appropriate, because this time it's undeniably a case of "a wizard did it". They can't even visit the town anymore, which is purely a plot contrivance. I am mildly pissed that they couldn't get to the meat dimension, because the game just locked them out.

Jeff is bad ass for quoting Kids in the Hall

yeah i thought the last 2 bosses after adachi were pretty lame and teh last one was pretty much a copout. Its certainly cant compare to P3's final boss and ending ;p

So avoid them.  You're only forcing yourself so that means you like it.  If you were really getting irritated you would ignore all of this.

I don't think it's that I mind an extra dungeon as much as it irritates me with how they present it in this game. They track down Namatame as the killer, only to find out that he's a puppet. They track down Adachi and find out he's the puppet master, that I can live with, only to find out he's a puppet too? Then we sort of anticlimactically find out that the gas station attendant is actually Izanami "Ruler of the Fog"???

Two trips to the "twist" well works, three is just one too many. It makes the story look like a really muddled unsolvable mystery and the Investigation Team look like a bunch of bumbling tools.

I definitely agree with that.  It does becomes redundant after a while.  But the plot is basically revolved around an investigation story and I guess Atlus just wanted that to show... too much.  It goes wtih the whole ''Seeking the truth'' concept that the game loves so much.

But Ameno-Sagiri was basically just Izanami's puppet and you can say that Charlie, Namatame, Adachi  and the whole Investigation Team are also all puppets of Izanami.

Hahaha!  Dude, that's hilarious!  I think there's one time that that happened to me, but it was in the morning and I was about to wake up anyways.  It's creepy when that happens; you wouldn't want anything like that inside of you alive.
Posted by Mezmero

Absolutely bananas.  Though if you ask me (which you didnt) the whole "true" culprit conceit is more that a bit ludicrous in regards to its setup.  I mean if anything the gas station scene from the beginning just felt like an all around introduction to what the game would be like and when he shook your hand it more seemed like how the main character had to power to form bonds easily with whomever he met rather tham how power was given to him.   The dude didnt even have a portrait till now for crying out loud.

In regards to personas, whoever wrote the concepts for persona was really into the devil.  Nah he was just really into folklore if anything, which sorry Judeo-Christians, but you have too much material that has to qualify as folkore along with everyone else so deal with it.  Although to that same subject I'd disagree with Jeff yet again when he goes "Michael is one thing, Lucifer is one thing, but Satan?!"  I'd say Lucifer is way more symbolic a figure, though Satan is a name more widely known.  Judgement is totally metal regardless.  Fantastic run guys and I hope to see the end sometime this week.

Yukiko is on a slapping spree today.

I've googled and youtubed and haven't had much luck. Since we'll never see it here, what really happens when you complete the Rainy Day Beef Bowl Challenge? Anyone have a video link handy?

"If we don't beat her, I'm' sure it will happen again"
"Man, if I had a nickel for every time I heard that..."
I laughed so hard I choked.

I was almost expecting the real cause of this to pop up & then an announcement that the game would be continued in Persona5 & roll credits. Followed by mixed emotions by everyone & some game disc getting thrown at the wall.

With all the surreal moments in the game, it would have been amusing to have the gas station use the gas hose to give the main character the power & him forgetting about it for obvious reasons of mental scarring.

The Endurance Run lives!!! :D

Don't forget, guys: You can only move forward.

Posted by takua108

Oh no, Jeff *did* read the comic, and it spoiled it for him a little. Darn.

Posted by scarace360

why does it have to end!!

Posted by IceTrey87

you HAVE Thor.
Posted by SBYM

Great; a fucking gas station attendant. And, dude, Jeff was bummed about that comic.

Posted by jikoku13

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's not over yet

Posted by teekomeeko

Strangely enough, somewhere in the back of my head I thought "yo, what is UP with you?" every time I saw that gas station attendant. I sometimes have a really hard time picking up subtext, so I really was surprised to see that my instinct was on the money about that weirdo right from the start. Adachi gave himself away dozens of episodes ago, but that guy just made my brain itch and I never got why.

Now I know. So, what, that's half the battle right?

EDIT: Also, I really hate it when people in an RPG (or any other form of entertainment) get together and restate their reason for being there over and over like they are passing a baton. That's gotta be one of the most cheesy and annoying cliches to have to sit through.

Ryan makes the Endurance Run awesome. "Sheyrayds?"

@Jeffmoocow: When you reach a point where you cant go anymore thats a pretty good indication that your are prepared for the next boss, if your behind a few levels the game speeds up the leveling process for you, try not to play it as p4 where you didnt have to deal with on big dungeon. I didn't have trouble grinding in p3 and thats usually the worst part of an rpg for me,

I love how you can really see the game starting to wear on them in this video.

Holy hell! How did I not get this ending? Lucky SOBs! I wanted to do a second playthrough eventually, but I thought my end was "The end." Roll credits! So not only are there bad endings, but also an OK ending?
