"BEEF FOR TWO! BEEF STEW!"

"What."

My reaction too, little guy.

Holding the 3DS sideways for side-by-side battles looks great.

I have had this game for two days! Count them, I know you won't!

Bump dat rump.

Too bad you can't play as Bowser in this one, and that ,that nagging chippy (or whatever it's called) is back.

Ah who am I kidding, I'm still completely sold.

I just feel... So happy

Have had the game for over a week now since it is out here in the UK and it is great but I am a big fan of the Mario & Luigi series and finished the previous 3. At the moment, it is not as good as Bowser's Inside Story but still had that M & L charm nonetheless

I can't wait for... hold on, I already own this! The rare perks of living in Europe I suppose. And yes, it is a charming delight.

This dialogue in this game seems great.

I want to pick this up as it looks stupendous, but an anyone tell me if the Mario RPG sub-series are all self contained. As in, can I play this and not be lost or anything?

Posted by Amppelix

@mrpilkington: Yeah, no prob. There's some really nice fanservice for fans of the older games but that's about it.

Posted by Nezza

I've not played a Mario RPG before, but the reviews & reaction have seemed positive so I picked up a copy earlier today. However, when I went to play it but found myself unable to close Animal Crossing and start it up!

Posted by Mr_JPeps

Yeah, i think this is it, this is going to be the one that makes me go get a 3DS XL

Posted by FrostedMiniWheats

@amppelix: And you know what my favorite part of your post was? That you talked about fanservice and I was able to think "yeah, I am a fan of this property and when they pander to me I appreciate it" without it going in a nasty pervy direction like the term fanservice normally steers. This is happy fanservice that inspires no shame.

For someone who's never played these games this will be decent?

@mr_jpeps: Why would you want to get the handheld that pixelates shit to hell and back?

@basketsnake: Do you like RPGs? Do you like timed hits and timed dodges?

Posted by BasketSnake

@yadilie: Yes, I loved paper mario on 3DS. I like RPG's. This looks like it's for me.

Edited by Mr_JPeps

@yadilie: Because the XL has the better of the 2 when it come to the battery, the OG 3DS is a pretty weak batt, also, I like pixels!

Posted by big_jon

I can't wait to play this.

You had me at beef for two.

Looks really charming. So glad I bought a 3DS recently.

Yeah, this series has secretly been as good or better than Paper Mario for a while now. If you can find it, Bowser's Inside Story for the DS is also very good.

Edited by Daneian

I seriously cant fucking wait for this. Bowser's Inside Story is one of my favorite RPG's.

"WHAT'S BUMPING... THE RUMP?!"

I don't know if I've ever seen a more enticing question. Totally sold on this!

Hey, the games might be a little pixelated, but they're infinitely better than anything I've played on the Vita.

Man, since when does Nintendo actually land its jokes? I'm going to have to check out who wrote and translated this one.

Hmm... I guess it comes down to AlphaDream. http://iwataasks.nintendo.com/interviews/#/3ds/mario-and-luigi-dream-team/0/0

We'll maybe see who translated it to English after the release, I guess, unless AlphaDream also translates.

@kosayn: A company called Treehouse usually localizes Nintendo's stuff. And they land their jokes really often. Treehouse is one of the most respected localizing teams and humour is the main reason I love the Mario & Luigi games.
