Looks neat.

Hopefully the Bombcast will straighten out the people saying that Fish's statements are "bigoted" or "racist". They didn't even say Japanese developers were incapable of making good games. His words may be in poor taste and disagreeable, but he is in no way a bigot or a racist. Gamers can be such fucking children.

I don't really care what he says til this game is out. Saying any type of game, japanese, western, or otherwise sucks as you fail to release your first game again and again feels like hypocrisy. I've seen very little of what FEZ offers that's unique. I've heard it, and seen these rotating trailers/whatnot, and they LOOK cool. But look how many games there are that look cool or have good new tech behind them that just don't cut it. Get FEZ out there, see if people think that's good, mediocre, or bad, and then talk.

The game definitely looks fun, but honestly, I have no idea what all the fuss is about.

I just dont get the hype for this.

Its just simple 3d blocks viewed side on and rotating. You cant even analogue rotate in the game. its 90 degree increments.

and the soundtrack is just chip tunes. just like every other artsy indie game out there.

Was going to buy this game until Fish's racist comments. Now I can't support anything the man does. Too bad!

Wow, that was almost as impressive as Mickey Mania on the Mega Drive. Almost.

So all Phil Fish said was "Japanese video games suck?" Sure it seems like an unsightly generalization, but racist? I don't know about that.

So this is a game about standing in place while the room spins around you? I thought trailers were supposed to show actual game play? This looks more like a tech demo from the 80s. Nebulus for the Atari ST did this 25 years ago.

No I agree, it will effect a very very minimal amount of sales if at all. Mainly my point was, he is in essence doing the opposite of hyping his game through his comments, which is idiotic and ironic, considering most everyone was on board with this guy until a couple days ago.

If it lives up to games like "Knytt" in its audio + visuals, I'll love it regardless of it's depth of gameplay. But the trailers have been terrible at showing what its gonna look like when you play it. And Phil Fish is the most punchable person alive.

This. The fact that he's ripping a concept from Super Paper Mario and being hailed as "innovative" is pissing me off like you wouldn't believe.

Okay so yeah, the levels rotate and it has retro art style. The game could be absolutely fantastic, or complete and utter garbage - the trailer doesn't tell you one damn thing about the game other than "HEY! ROTATION! AND MAYBE PLATFORMING?"

I'm not passing judgement on the quality of the game since I have no idea what the game will be about. Trailers are usually supposed to inform the audience - especially if it's a new game or a new IP.

YES! this is what I said when I saw this trailer this is just Crush but with artsy style and chiptune soundtrack, I'm not saying is bad or anything I don't even know how the game plays but this is nothing new or ground-breaking.

Well to be fair Crush had enemies (cockroaches) and Fez does not.

Couldn't really care less about playing the game, but that music....... Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!

If the camera rotated any faster at the end I might have thrown up.

While I dislike his comment, I really just dislike hipsters more. I like a lot of independent music, and I've gotten so sick of dealing with hipsters there, that it really makes me annoyed to see them appearing in my favorite hobby as well.

fish was a pretty huge dick at GDC ... ill probably only buy this if its amazing.

"Just chip tunes" what does that mean, like if it was rock it'd be "just rock" or if it was orchestrated it would be "just orchestral." This game's music is just music, just like every other game out there!

Yeah. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when it turned out to be just another (yes, longer) string of rotating shots. Does Polytron have any plans to release some media that shows something besides artwork?

Game still looks interesting though most trailers now are rather fluff in many cases so will just wait for the game to come out to really get excited about it.

I want to play this just for the soundtrack.

And i think there's something...philosophical happening in this game.

I liked this trailer a lot more when I stopped watching it and just listened to it.

I love the visual aesthetic and the sound effects... Gave me a nostalgic 16-bit vibe. I look forward to seeing more about this game, despite Fish's idiotic way of letting the Japanese game industry (and gamers in general, apparently) know how he feels.

Not sure if this game's "trailers" are helping their cause. The first couple were really damn cool, but the game's is starting to feel stale before it's even out. And that's disregarding all previous, very old knowledge I had of it from before they started putting these out...
