Why are so many people excited for this? It looks like FF11 with better graphics, and that game sucked.

I really wanted to get this for my pc, but it looks like I will need to play it on the PS3. The official benchmark was released and my pc didn't pass :( . Here is the official Benchmark if you guys want to test your pc.

So many ignorant people posting here.  There were more gameplay in this video than the SWTOR trailer that was shown in E3, that one was pure CG and still people went gaga over it.

There IS gameplay, and all of the cutscenes shown here are all ingame too besides 1 or 2 tiny clips (the massive dragon) get your facts straight before posting crap

can't wait for the game, it's gonna be incredible, for those of you moaning already about the lack of variety in areas outside cities, how about waiting for the game to come out before making that judgement? Yes, the area outside Limsa Lominsa looks dull (albeit beautiful) But that's ONE area out of an entire world

I'm willing to play it for 30 days to see if it's any good.  Hopefully, It'll be great.

 I never did play FF XI because I wasn't into MMOs at the time, and after that I never got around to it. No complaints about the visuals though; SE usually delivers on that. I'm interested to see how customization and the rest of the game's interfaces will work. Ditto on the subscription fees... that's another thing that prevented me from every wanting to get into XI, those damn RO-style fees.

Is it just me or are those doctor masks everywhere? Can I assassinate some emo boys?

This looks bland... whats with the environments, sure some good looking mechanical stuff as always, but the rest looks boring.

Really looking forward to this one, despite it being MMORPGblahblah. FFXI got me hooked very bad back in the days but has some serious flaws which kinda ebbed away the experience. Hope SE will learn from their past mistakes and make this one more streamlined!

Wish they didn't spend 99% of their time designing awesome cities and then with the remaining 1% of the time slapping together some crappy generic hills and fields.. Most of the gameplay goes on in the rural areas, and they just don't bother at all with that part.. Real shame, cause their artists are brilliant.

Huh, not bad I guess for a cutscene trailer.  It's good they're revamping the gameplay from XI's though.  Another WoW clone would suck.

It shouldn't be called Final Fantasy XIV. It should be called Final Fantasy Online 2.

FFXI had a lot of issues that need to be corrected in XIV. I think a lot of folks don't remember that XI's release pre-dates WoW, so the bar hadn't even been set at the time. I loved XI for what it was, and played it for years, but if XIV is just a carbon copy with a few new features? Pass. Here's hoping, anyway.
