Flagship's Promise of a First-Person RTS Looks Incredible

I'm going to feel like Ender Wiggins

I'd be way more interested in a game about captaining a ship and delegating responsibilities than I am a standard RTS with a nifty perspective change. It seems like a good idea, just doesn't go far enough.

And unless they're looking to kickstart it or something, this trailer came out way too early.

Space RTS games, hell, space combat in general, just makes me want a sequel to Nexus: The Jupiter Incident even more. Somehow I doubt it's coming.

Wonder if it will have any type of resource management, mining, etc...

This looks quite interesting. I'm just wondering what else there is to the first-person aspect besides the visuals...

Multiplayer would be cool, also hope that screen acknowledges the z depth, because it seemed like an odd omission in the video.

Opening voice sounds like a Dalek.

Although visually completely different, I wonder if the game will be like Mount and Blade, where you start off small; either by yourself or with a small band of ships and the battle we see in the trailer is the end game where you find yourself commanding a capitol ship in a large scale war. I hope it is, otherwise the first person perspective on a capitol ship seems more like of a gimmick than anything else.

I need this game in my life right now.

Are there Sins of a Solar Empire people working on this? Either way, they've got a similar aesthetic that I dig.
