remember watching this last year, really glad it all worked out for them gone home was amazing

I enjoyed that and I wish the Fullbright crew the best. It's a project I'll be looking forward to. And hopefully Portland does establish a nice creative game community there. I hope to be back someday and get involved in a small development house.

Really interesting to hear how Steve Gaynor is a PC gamer. He must have been really upset when 2K spent so long bringing Minerva's Den to the PC (almost a year after 360). Makes me want to reinstall BioShock 2 and give it a go.

Why would you want to live in Oregon? It is not as bad as one of those states no one thinks about, but people only think about it because people want a good Oregon Trail game again.

How sad do you have to be to want to end up in Oregon?

I agree. I pretty much exclusively listen to podcasts in my car or on my Ipod. I would have enjoyed this a lot more in that format.

That's not what pretentious means. He never says that because his game is about those things it's better than all other games which would be pretentious. He doesn't shit on all other games for being about fantastical things either. Very fascinating stuff! These special GB-styled roundtable discussion videos tend to be pretty fucking awesome. I didn't play Minerva's Den but the new game does sound very interesting and the insight into starting your own studio is extremely helpful and sheds so much more light on game development than most other content. I noticed some distinct overlap with this week's 8-4 play talk about "Skulls of the Shogun" - definitely some similar motifs there.

And yet again I'm blown away by the amount of superficial dumbass comments on this video. You watch 40 minutes of this and have nothing else to talk about than some inconsequential bullshit? Even on GB it is still the internet unfortunately.

Would much rather have this on audio, not that I mean to sound spoilt. It's nice to be able to put things of this length on my Ipod and listen on the move.

Whatever format, these sort of things are great, any insight and commentary you can provide on the workings of the industry I will hoover up - just don't need to see you sat behind mics.

Massive points for mentioning NOLF 2 and Hitman suburban level. So much atmosphere playing it the first time.

He said PC, but I am hoping for an eventual Mac release as well. With it created through Unity it should be pretty easy.

Reminds me of Amnesia, but without the scariness (so far, anyway). I really enjoyed digging through drawers, reading old tomes, etc. in that game. Color me interested in this.

Weird crossover from RockPaperShotgun lately (I'm a big fan of them). I was just reading the most recent Day Z diary over there. If it weren't for the fact I need to buy Arma to play it, a game I have zero interest in, I'd be all over Day Z.

Should have been called 'Duck Scoop.' Also they should fill the books with public domain novels to keep the realism.

Super stoked to hear about Hot Scoops, Inc. and their first game.

I wasn't particularly fond of the original Bioshock, but the amount of praise people have heaped on Minerva's Den has me tempted to grab Bioshock 2 and just skip to playing the DLC.

This better become a monthly feature or something. It's great stuff.
