GDC 2013: After Hours Livestream Spectacular - Aftermath

Food gets old in supermarkets, gets old in fridges, fruit ninja-ing fruit for live shows happens. Your options at work are to throw it away, or put up a video so people don't bitch about slow video posts. If people don't get the joke, they weren't paying enough attention. Or maybe they were actually thrown off by the high frame rate.

This was dumb but not in a good way :/ At least he cleaned up the mess...

@jams: I understand completely where you're coming from, I see a lot of homeless people like that too. I was really shocked at how many I saw in the US when I was there last summer and most of them I fail to believe are homeless. There's a morbidly obese man that sits outside my boyfriends work every single day, clean shaven, clean clothes, sits there eating McDonalds and catcalling all the women that walk by while shaking a plastic cup begging for money.

The guy that I gave the pizza to looked like a drug addict because he was so gaunt, but that could have been from hunger I suppose, and yeah there is a lot of help for them. But just last month when I was in Spain there was a child and her parents in the middle of the night just rummaging through the bins for food and clothes.

But I've also been to places like the Philippines, where there are so many homeless people, children sleeping on a rag on the street and coming up to you begging for money and there isn't enough help for them. So yeah, a lot are drug addicts waste any money they get given on drugs, so that's why it's good to just give them actual food if you can. There are some that sit outside grocery stores in town and I've seen people asking them what sandwich they'd like and they go in and get it for them, every little helps.

I feel like I was all over the place with that post, sorry, it's late!

Also everyone who is bitching, IT IS a HALF EATEN PIE. You either throw it out, or keep it in the fridge where no one will probably touch it for a month and it becomes all moldy, and then there is side bets to see if anyone is dumb enough to take a bite and then someone gets food poisoning Trust me I have been there, there is no good outcome from keeping a half eaten pie.

I'll put it this way, at least they were nice enough to be cleaning up after themselves. They're nice enough to not completely screw over some cleaning staff, so I gotta give props to these guys. They have stupid fun, but don't screw over someone else with their stupid fun. That's the way to do it.

It's one thing to throw food away since everyone has had their fill. It's another to flush food down the toilet as entertainment, basically saying that food is only as respected as the shit I take on the toilet. You have to understand that you should at least try to waste as less food as possible since a lot of people don't have access to basic food, let alone pies.

That was stupid in all the right ways and is why I love Giant Bomb. The people complaining about this video are going way overboard. This video is for entertainment. I got a kick out of it and I'm sure plenty of others did as well. The pie would've been thrown out anyways, so what's the big deal about flushing it down the toilet?

There is not much to "get" inthis one... they got drunk and flushed a pie down the toilet... That's the joke.

Seems so. There was a shit pie conversation. Then Max brings pie to the office. You could not have paid me to try his pie under those circumstances. If he insisted it was clean, I would just be more suspicious.

The podcast is the best part of the site. And I say that as someone who religiously watches every piece of video content here. You're missing out.
