The first lost planet was good, with minor issues. The second Lost Planet was filled with ambition, but the execution was poorly done. Hopefully, they'll get it right with their third try.

Don't worry man, LP3 has a dedicated single player mode.

That singleplayer/multiplayer demo for the first Lost Planet was all the Lost Planet I needed.

The upgrade loadout sphere really bothers me. I get developers want to get away from basic menus for upgrades and such, but... uh... it just makes me frustrated that's the design that they chose. Just because, they think, it looks cool doesn't mean it's good for the players.

What the hell happened to my Lost Planet? Why does it look like Red Faction Armageddon? Do they not know it's past April Fool's? All you had to do was 2 things to make a Lost Planet game. Add in Monster Hunter esque Akrids and make an extremely competitive multiplayer with tons of original ideas,weapons and vehicles. Looks like all the giant Akrids are gone and the multiplayer and gameplay itself looks extremely generic. Why?

The first Lost Planet had great multiplayer.

Lost planet was great because it was essentially dark souls before dark souls, it made you strategically advoid combat, only getting into combat when necessary It was essentially Silent Hill in space, with pretty blue lights. I never played Lost Planet 2, but always got the feeling that LP2 lost all that.

It's also baffling that they managed to make it look way worse than the first two games.

Look like Xbox textures to me. I'm really looking forward to shitty textures potentially going away with the next lot of consoles, it's the simplest thing to make a game look a lot nicer.

I'm extremely surprised to see that there is a Lost Planet 3. You would think this franchise would be dead after the last game being a flop. But, I guess, this is the same world where Army of Two has had 2 sequels.
