I played the Infamous 2 demo and promptly pre-ordered the game (something I never do), and even though I had beaten and sold the first one, I always somewhat regretted that so I decided to download the full game for free (thanks PSN for fucking up and making up for it!).

People didn't complain because Old Cole was awesome.  People complained because the drastic character changes were inconsistent and jarring.   It's called continuity.  It's a good thing.

I like the new voice.

No, replacing a cheezy voice with a plain bad one doesn't really make anything better.

I actually really enjoy his new voice. The original voice just seemed really generic.

I hated Cole's old voice. I like the new voice better.

This "lust for power" story arc seems like the stupidest thing in the world, considering Cole is painted as the "good guy".

I don't like the fact that they changed his voice (hate it when different actors play the same characters in sequels to movies for example) but it's not exactly going to harm my excitement for this game.

Kessler met the beast in the future (and he is Cole) it would need to have been an alternate timeline evil Cole for that too work. I personally think the beast is that guy that got sucked in by the raysphere when Cole tried to Activate/Destroy it the second time.

Still curious if there'll be an import system from the original inFAMOUS. The contrasting paths of Saintly Cole and Cuntly Cole have some surprising differences between one another.

Sasha especially as she becomes like your No. 1 sex-seeking fan if you play the game as a total prick.

I hate the change in voice so much. Not that I liked the old voice so much, but it's really jarring to change any fundamental aspect of a character like that.

Isn't that what everyone wanted? I feel like most people just complain about Cole now for the sake of it. It's not like the first Cole had an awesome unique personality. He was just a gruff voiced "I don't take shit from anybody" character. Which is exactly what this guy sounds like.The game is looking awesome regardless of Cole. Can't wait. "

Chill out everyone! His new voice is just fine, heck maybe even better since they're toning down the Solid Snake-ness of it. I bet if no one had even seen Cole's initial redesign, they wouldn't even be complaining about his voice in the first place. His current voice is great and evokes old Cole. At least for me since I don't remember his voice too specifically since it wasn't even that iconic, so what's with the complaints!?

Billy dies at the end of the game.

Why make a spoiler free recap? If people want to play the first game before the second, they'll do that. The only people needing a recap are people who played a first game and want a refresher, or people who want to just start the second game without bothering with the first.

His voice is really weird. I don't know if I prefer it or not.

Guess the whole identity-of-Kessler thing doesn't figure into the plot of Infamous 2 much.

Not liking the new voice... and i am not totally sure why. It is just that voice seems out of place with this character. It would be more suited for a ex-cop turn free lance detective who is wants to put his life back together, but is haunted by his past so he doesn't.

Wow, they completely left out the whole twist in the first game. Not a bad recap for giving only a few specific details. Still, anyone who has yet to play Infamous 1 and plans on playing Infamous 2, should play the first one first.
