Very cool, thanks man.

For some reason most of the unity games got a micro stuttering problem on a lot of PCs (and sadly I wasn't able to find a fix on mine), which is a little bit disheartening. But the game itself is great and I absolutely love the extremely relaxing music. :)

I still don't understand the appeal of Joust, I could create the same effect by just having everyone holding a full cup of beer and trying to get them to spill some.

Seeing this game seems to be the most fun when playing with people at a party, my solution would be much quicer and easier than busting out like 7 move controllers.

Spilling beer is messy, Move Controllers aren't.

You could use water then, also i don't know anyone with a move controller.

Yeah, because spilling any kind of liquid all over the place is always the better option than not spilling liquid all over the place.

Use a stick? some kids toy? there are tons of stuff you can use that are cheaper and easier to find.

The object of the game is to get the other person to move their controller too much/too quickly, not to actually drop it. If you're trying to knock it out of the person's hands, then yes, a stick would work just as well.

But the game is meant to be more subtle than that.

As I said I'm pretty sure there's a kids toy for that you don't need to spend on move controllers to play what is basically "egg on a spoon"

I don't know where this whole "spending money on Move controllers" argument is coming from. You know that there are people who already own Move controllers, yes? And those people might find a game like this amusing?

And, like, friends who ALSO own Move controllers can bring them all over and join in the game. This is a game meant to be played with the Move controller. No one is arguing that it's a reason to go out and buy a Move controller (although I'm sure there are people who would).

And sure, if there is a self-contained game that operates like this, with motion-sensitive devices that let you play the game in a similar manner, that would be cool. I don't know of any, personally. And again, we're talking about the subtle difference between not moving too much and not dropping shit on the floor.

Well I was questioning for who would this game would be but as you point out is for those who own multiple move controllers and have friends who also have them , again that subtle difference is huge when you think about a party game and for what kinda people it is (some wouldn't care if you're playing with a move controler or a not so sophisticated toy because is a party game) , to me it seems like a hastle because there's really nothing else to do with those spare move controllers other than play JSJ or the game itself unless you're having a party.

why not balance a giant ping pong ball on a tennis racket

I like the tennis racket idea.

That wouldn't work, because there's no way to change the range of allowable movement. JSJ allows you to move more or less depending on the tempo of the music.

You could attach a beat doctor 9000 to the side of the racket

Some...uh...'neat' games there.

Glad I'm not the only one who realizes Johann Sebastian Joust could just be a ball balanced on something you hold the same way.

PS Move egg on a spoon racing is probably in development.

There was more innovation in that video than in the past 20 years Nintendo has spent on developing anything fresh.

That ending was sick.

Also, interesting how indie games work nowadays. Lots of game jams, iPads, and free to play stuff. Wouldn't have imagined any of this 5 years ago.

I loved the long hold on the tetris scrabble game... That bottom line of letters was sure something.
