Magick streams?!

EDIT: I've never been troubled by the idea of an impending prostate exam as much as I am while looking at that image.

This video was made with the latest streaming technology.

Don't cross the streams...........it would be bad.

Posted by Aegon

I didn't watch this live, was it any good?

Posted by Capt_Ventris

Ahh... So this is what happens when you combine all the elements in Magika for one uber spell.

Oh my god the first 10 minutes or so of gameplay were such a wonderful disaster

Day 16: Brad still can't join the Magicka game at the ICC; Drew will arrive Mars within 4 months, will send a postcard upon arrival

Whoa, where the fuck did this come from?

When was this live?

GB griefing each other and unintentional killing at its best.

Edited by CornBREDX

Oh, thank you, GB. I tried watching this on Justin.tv but as usual their archive is awful and impossible to watch. Now I can just download this and watch it in the morning.

And thats why I love Giantbomb so much

Side note: seriously. Brad looks like a crazy person in that screen grab. I'm excited to watch this.

Oh, I get it. The wizard in black is dressed up as a warhammer 40k space marine.

This is exactly what happened to me with magicka, their back-end networking stuff was horrrrrrribbbleeee. If you think it's glitching and janky as it is now, imagine what it was like at release when me and my mate were playing.

As most people on the chat when it was streamed can testify, it was a horrible disaster because they couldn't get anything working for a long while...and as a result it was great.

The first half hour of this video is right up there with Vinny trying to find Truck Simulator Mods. Great stuff!

What is Music of the Spheres??

@mlarrabee: It's rare that I see a comment that is genuinely funny and you sir hit the nail on the head.

This was a fun video.

Brad's 'grrrr' at the end was the perfect ending

So, why did you password protect a LAN game?

Posted by SenatorSpacer

Between this and the last TNT, the future of Giant Bomb looks strong!

Edited by Bistromath

If your stream is weak, you need to get your prostate checked.

Twitch is usually good on their archives. Everything gets recorded and uploaded even as a channel is streaming, so you can still watch things that happened ~10 minutes prior. It's also easier to scrub through VoDs on Twitch than videos on Giant Bomb's player.

"Hey buddy, whacha doing?"

"Watching four dudes try to set up a video game."

"Cool, what's the --"

"FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF."

I don't even know what my life is any more.

Oh man, that versus match at the end. Vinny should've crushed them with that Bolter. Bummer that he never realised he seemingly can't heal himself in that outfit.

A regular monday stream alongside Brad playing Dota (or even a regular stream alongside Brad's Dota playing) would be pretty awesome.

I agree with Ryan on the Poptart situation. Always warm and always with fruit filling. Iced Strawberry are the best.

Edited by Largo6661

Its not you guys Magicka is so glitchy, never played that game with out a small bug

Brown sugar cinnamon Poptarts are where it's at. I agree on the warm vs cold thing though.

It was GLORIOUS! Even the 'after party' with Brad showing his true colors were good, albeit a little creepy.

This was so hilarious. I want more of spiteful co-op.

I don't like the whole 2 stream idea for that Xbox. I won't be home til 3 pm their time and trying to put up the video together is going to be a mess.

lol, did the stream go better than setting up this game? hilarious

Posted by MeatSim

Getting that 4 player game of Magicka going had to be more difficult then getting two simultaneous streams going.

Edited by falling_fast

oh man, this game has walking luggages like those early terry pratchett books did. why have I not played this game yet

Posted by bkbroiler

brad makes me laugh and laugh

Posted by Slow_pC

The test stream made me reinstall Magicka and play a bunch of DLC I totally forgot I had for it.

Posted by CornBREDX

@ruisux: I download it, I don't watch it on the site, although its better than watching it on the Justin TV site either way which does not like to do anything but stutter every 15 seconds

I wish I actually liked Magicka because it's such a quirky game and a clever idea but hot damn that combat is too janky for its own good in my opinion.

Never was a fruit filling man in almost anything I eat. Kinda explains why I hate pie more or less. Also I don't know how I feel Ryan owning the discussion on Chex related things. I can't think of anyone else having an opinion on the matter and for some reason I don't trust Ryan on this one.

Edited by MrBubbles

you know, i love magicka but i have never finished it because i keep getting my ass handed to me at one of the later parts of the game.

Watching them trying to get the game going felt like every lan my mates and me have ever setup. We would book an little work unit out over a weekend where my mate used to work and about 8-14 would attend but it always took about 3 hours to get going as PC's/games would crash and there would be lots of "right restart the server as x isn't working" repeating over and over again to many groans. Ah good times. Lots of beer, chocolate and lots of flatulence.

I agree, we had 4 computers at my grandpas house networked. And it would take hours to get everyones IP right, and work out all the bugs, by the time we started AOE2 it was 3 hours later.
