Giant Bomb @ SummerSlam 2014

@legendarychopchop: About Brad.... Jeff Gerstmann is audibly against DOTA... but you know thats SORT of a joke, right? Jeff obviosuly respects DOTA. Of COURSE Brad is giving them tons of shit about wrestling, but Brad has a sense of humor and loves dumb shit just as much as any of them. The wrestling stuff has been very entertaining to me because it is consistant with Giant Bomb's MO - dumb humor. It practically seems meant to be.

Giant Bomb is run by passionate personalities - they're gonna get on a little kick once in a while. Dan is hardly the REASON behind the wrestling madness - of courtse it coincidentally meshed with the recent talk of wrestling before he was hired but come on, we all trust Jeff and co. and it is reasonable to assume that this is not going to become a wrestling site

TLDR... I am a huge Giant Bomb fan and have 0% knowledge of wrestling, and I am loving learning about wrestling. Especially from my favorite personalities.

Also, I was going to make a jokey post that "this video alone legitimized Dan's position at the site"... but it's true, this video is a perfect example of why Dan can be a good addition to the site (I am impressed that he and Alex are able to roll with these guys and actually entertain them with fun questions, creating cool interviews). Really I am just loving the fact that Giant Bomb can go out into the world and prove to everyone that gaming websites are just a bunch of passionate people and not a bunch of nerds. I am also impressed that these wrestlers seem to be having more fun at this event than some people who WORK in the games industry.

This is just like one of my Japanese animes.

I don't watch wrestling and didn't have any idea who most of them were, but this is the most fun I've had with a Giantbomb video in quite a while.

1. How is Stardust not the World Champion, Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team Champion, Hardcore Champion, and literally any other fucking "Champion" title we can throw at him? Pure fucking greatness.

2. Damien Sandow just interviewed Alex and Dan about PAX Royal Rumble, and that is fucking hilarious and bananas. I can only hope that there will be actual wrestlers in attendance and that they will do actual wrestler things.

This video was incredible. Stardust is like pro wrestling's John Drake, and Steve Austin is a really strong speaker. Nice to have weird stuff like this on the site.

I haven't watched wrestling in over 20 years, but this video is an instant classic. Well done, everyone. Well done.

Will Giant Bomb be there this year? Oh, the X-Pac/Yoshihiro Tajiri match from Summer Slam 2001 was great....Actually the entire event was great. Hopefully this year could be %40 as good as it was 14 years ago .
