I can't wait to see more of these in the future. They'll only be funnier and more action packed as the guys continue to learn the game.

I DM'd a DnD game with some pals in high school for a few years and it was a ton of fun. The only advice I could give Matt is to hide more from everyone else, give them less information. He'll get better as he goes and as everyone gets more familiar with the game, so I'm pretty excited for where this goes.

God damn this was so good. Now that the starting setup is done it should become even better.

Hope the guys can keep some kinda schedule that we dont have to wait too long for the next part !

Ah, I genuinely like Ian! We're finding our way on the Dark Souls streams, but here he was a big help with the rules and such. He just didn't want to DM this time, but he knows a lot more about PF than I do, so character creation was a little odd. We'll stick to the beginner's box for now and try to do some bigger stuff down the line.

Fantastic content. I'm all for this place becoming more of a Lifestyle E-zine® with video games, than a site purely about video games.

Ways to make this better:

• Dim the lights
• Get Ian to DM (you were great Rorie, but I would rather see you play)
• Make it 3+ hours. Get more food.
• No bickering. I just hate those backhanded under-the-breath comments (I know, they're mostly friendly, but still)
• Keep 'em coming. love this site

Keeping it to those three races and four classes really was a bit of a disappointment, especially with five players. Including stuff like gnomes and sorcerers wouldn't make things all that much more complicated for Rorie and would make the experience much more fun in my opinion.

I liked this, but Ian clearly knew the most about the game, so I really feel like he should be the DM if they continue this, so they can expand the game more

I got into watching D&D thanks to JP McDaniel's RollPlay streams (I highly recommend them on youtube.com/itmejp, there is D&D and Warhammer 40k with a second D&D show starting this Sunday.) As an advice to @Rorie, from watching their excellent DM Koibu, don't reveal too many numbers like what ac enemies have, what they need to roll, how much life they have, etc. Be descriptive, if they almost roll high enough, say their blow bounces off the enemy's armor, if they roll a 1, have them drop their weapon and costing them a move action next turn or something.

This! :) I think Rorie was just a bit stressed for DMing something new on cam, when this is supposed to be content (like i would be afraid that it will become just a chaotic mess). Still would have been nice to just freestyle with the ideas given.

I like how Ian uses Drew as the audience surrogate for explaining the extreme basics. It looks condescending as fuck but it's nice for people who don't know shit about these games.

Vinny roleplaying as a dumb warrior might be the best thing ever. Also wasn't on board with the whole new detroit conciete at first but it grew on me with all their bullshit backstories.

Actually, Rorie, Timeshift was a fine game. The guns were great, and the powers worked well. It did not sell well, however, and it's narrative was a mess of nonsensical cutscenes.

I like how thisgot involved with Kernsville somehow.

I think when/if they become more comfortable with the rules, Brad needs to change Detroit Jones from a rogue to a gunslinger.

Because Detroit Jones never reloads.

This is one of the best things GB's done in a while. I've never played or seen DnD but I think I get it now.

Oh man, I always find it so weird when I party with a guy who thinks he needs to roleplay as a woman.

Man, I would love to see them play Shadowrun. All those names fit perfectly in that universe.

As someone who DMs a Pathfinder group, This is great and im bloody glad they fixed the whole 2 point thing, really niggled me.

@nekroskop: He seemed pretty engaged the whole time to me. He didn't say much, but neither did Drew. I think Dave and Vinny just stole the show.

@rorie: I completely agree about moving it quickly along. I thought Ian was being a bit mean when he was like "Well this is going to be boring with 4 classes but that's fine we can just be boring." I am sorry when every you can get the GB crew together you can basically throw away the word boring. I think this was proven at the end of this video.

I think if you guys wanted to make characters for the next scenario I would recommend doing it off-video and just giving us a brief overview of the characters like names and class then just diving into it with everyone role playing their character. Would keep the viewer guessing.

I think you DM'ed just fine only thing I can recommend is allow everyone to try anything they want and never let them know what you are thinking.
