The hype is relentless.

What the fuck... Also, the "honest" one was Abe, not George, right?

Game of 2012!

Posted by OneFreeman

4th, my best yet!

Posted by Oginam

Pretty creepy that it looks at you when you attack, even if it's shooting something else.

So do we a Ben Franklin robot that runs through walls like Kool-Aid man?

Isn't it great though?

Lincoln or bust.

@codynewill: Indeed it is.

Best trend of 2012: George Washington.

Edited by Woodroez

"Face has wax-like sheen"

So it's rendered in UE3 like the rest of the game?

BOOM

I'm into this. Looking forward to Bioshock Infinite.

Looking Wood

This game looks so fucking cool. So excited.

Also, this is entirely unrelated to what the video was about, but the background music they were using sounds great. I hope the entire soundtrack sounds that good.

Am I the only one that thinks this is incredibly stupid?

...Maybe I'm just getting sick of the hype =( Seriously, almost 2 and a half years between announcement and release is waaay too long...

Posted by AuthenticM

George Washington is the new Big Daddy.

Posted by xite

1:25 the lead artist sounds completely uninterested

Probably not, but personally I couldn't be more excited. Say what you will about the gameplay, but the first Bioshock still has the best use of environment to tell a story. Incredibly moody, fantastic touches scattered throughout, and a flat out fascinating world you're picking your way through.

Deeply weird, fun-house mirror takes on our own world and history. I love it. More of that? Yes, please.

We need a Giant Bomb's "Best use of a dead president" award this year.

Ken Levine should change his title from Creative Director to Creative Genius.

Posted by Mr_Skeleton

What if the new Assassin's creed takes place in Bioshock Infinite city, think about it.

Posted by vhold

I'll be disappointed if Fox News can't spin this into something about a media assault on America's cherished institutions.

Reminds me of the mechs in Thief 2, especially the voice.

Correct.

George Washington Fun Fact: Washington was given a nickname by the Iroquois that translates variously as "Town Destroyer" or " Devourer of Villages". So there's that.

I'm looking forward to the game but I almost fell asleep half-way through the video.

YES

Posted by OllyOxenFree

This is just so absurd that it is really interesting to me. Can't wait!

Posted by xxNBxx

What makes him any different then a big daddy? Once you initiate combat with anyone in the game can you reason with them?

Posted by Binarynova

*le sigh*

Should I add Giant Bomb to my new list of websites to avoid within 8 months of an anticipated game's release? I have a spot open right next to Kotaku.

Agreed. There's a lot of thief being reflected in this one. Those remind me of the end of thief 2.

Posted by Sporkbane

This looks fantastic. As I would expect of Ken Levine

Posted by BD_Mr_Bubbles

Awesome

@xxNBxx: The fact that they're only one of a few "heavy hitters" and they're immediately aggressive. They're not protecting anything, just massive killing machines. And I assume they'll be a little easier to take down since they'll be more common.

Guild Wars 2 was announced 5 years ago and is coming out some time this year, and that game is going to be awesome. Sometimes taking the extra time to get things right is worth it in the end.

Wait what was that game that had a robo-president and like a robo-government, and your quest was to scam some document, like a Magna Carta or a Constitution off them? That was crazy, whatever it was.

Posted by Sergotron

George Washington boss fight?!!!

Posted by AxleBro

SO BASICALLY THEY'RE BIG DADDIES. OR THIS GAMES EQUIVALENT OF THEM.

I believe you're thinking of fallout 3. since it had the museum quest where you meet a robotic model of a president (George Washington i believe) and he thinks you're a british spy trying to take the constitution. also the real president turned out to be a robot at the end of that game.

Except he is one of many different enemies, each with different weapons and skills, while the Big Daddies were all copies of 2 (or 3 in Bioshock 2) models. I believe the robotic guy that throws horses at you (in the earlier trailers) could be consider one of these too.

Or you could see the title and ignore the post....

*le sigh* at your attitude... also you should avoid Kotaku period, not just in 8 month increments.

Ahaha, yeah, you're right. I just realized that I've forgotten everything about the third Fallout. New Vegas's awesomeness must have overwritten it all in my mind. But it FO3 did have neat crazy parts like this.

Nobody's said La Li Lu Le Lo yet? Come on!

... Yup, still excited for this game.

I don't understand why this and AC3 have the America tones going, but only AC3 got the hate for it.

Posted by cavemantom

This is why they don't allow flash photography in the Hall of Presidents.
