Never enough Pirates!

Game Cop has to sail all the way to Tortuga where the ecstasy prices are higher.

I'm actually looking forward to this game.  Might be picking it up this Friday.

This reminds me I own Sid Meiers Pirates, I should really play it some time.

I think I might pick this up and it being 15% off right now on steam is making it even more tempting.

thats probably dirt cheap on steam too

I can't wait to kill traitorous revolutionaries with a tomahawk in Assassin's Creed 3 :P

Played tons of the PR2. Really nice take on good ol' Pirates. This looks more of the same.

Wait.. What??? I watched that whole thing and there was no punchline!

Why get someone to do a silly fake stuffy accent like that if not for comedy effect???

I was expecting something silly to happen!

dissapointed

I have been playing a lot of Patrician IV, also made by Kalypso...and this basically looks like a reskinned Patrician. One has sugar and rum, the other has honey and mead.

That's what I was thinking. *goes back to ANNO*

There might be a Quick Look of this game. GB is taking the time to upload some obscure games trailers.

I agree. This seems to be a cut of the early game tutorial. I can't see how this would be meant for promotional purposes. And I really can't see how it would be of much interest to the GB Community.

No commentary or write-up either. Alex probably has a posted content element in his new contract.

Guys, please put this type of stuff in the game specific forums, not the front page.

Thanks.

I like the UI improvements (graphics, trading slider) but the gameplay seems very close (almost identical) to PR 1 and 2. I'd like to see an in-depth video of the combat to see if that's been improved, since that was lacking in PR 2 and why I like PR 1 more.

Unfortunately, this also seems like the kind of game that will be 40$ at launch and 20$ 3 months after :|

"The action buildings are always in the center of town."

*Highlighted spots show action building on the edge of town.

?

Anyway, so it's just like Patrician, or that other game that involved the Hanseatic trading cities in Northern Europe, only it has pirates? Hmm.

Actually, come to think of it, this video reminds me suspiciously of the Patrician IV video, this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmjpDvoz4zM

He even uses almost exactly the same line when describing when to sell and when to buy.

I don't get the negativity in the comments, its a game, it will interest people on GB. Don't like dont watch. Also, speaking as a British person, his accent does not sound fake.

You get a warehouse in this game!

But can you have the radio DJ shot?

But this is the same game as Patriarch 3. It's identical. I can see the comparison to Anno, but that's mostly in the beginning. Later in the game, you start using your money to gain political power, and the game changes completely.

I was going to say the exact same thing. It's like a pirate themed Patriarch.

this is just a bad tutorial... for a lousy game... and a price tag that is meant to pretend it's quality...
