Yep, looks like GTA4 free roam taken to an extreme. Very excited.

Looks like they've made a real effort on the mp side, looks bananas, can't wait for some more details and a confirmation on the PC release.

I was going to hold off on this game but having seen the most recent gameplay and now this...looks like I'll have my TV connected to a PS4 and a PS3 so I can play this.

That's rad as hell, but I can't help but be disappointed it's not launching for 2 and a half weeks. My plans with all my friends was to play an hour or two of the singleplayer on launch day, and then play free roam with friends all night. Now we can't.

With it only being 16 players, I suspect that in practice it's going to seem less spectacular than the trailer makes it seem. I'm sure it'll be very great fun to play with a group of friends, but the trailer presents it as this ground breaking online world that I don't think it's going to be in reality. It'll be fun, but not as amazing as this trailer paints it to be.

Anyone else get a strong Red Dead Redemption online vibe from this? Right down to the cover system and weapon wheel. Looks cool as hell though.

This sounds a lot like RDR's multiplayer.

Which is no bad thing, but it wasn't nearly as amazing as the trailer made it out to be.

However, with some friends I'm sure organising and playing heists together and stuff will be pretty awesome.

I've never wanted or played a GTA game but oooo man is this something I want now.

I'm not really into multiplayer. Working story into online gameplay is interesting, but I'd hate to get constantly interrupted by griefing while trying to do mundane things like travel to a waypoint.

That's a really impressive video. I don't often get excited about multiplayer in any video game, but I think this one may be different. I also really like the decision to launch the online stuff a couple of weeks later so more people spend time with the single-player campaign.

A well-made Rockstar trailer. How surprising. Well, I'm not sold until I've played it myself, they fooled me too many times and I haven't truly enjoyed a Rockstar game since Vice City.

I haven't been excited for multiplayer in a game for a long time. Can't wait.

Holy shit, definitely happy I didn't let my dislike of GTA IV sway me into not wanting GTA V. This surpasses what I was expecting.

I just want to know if you can steal another player's car if they park it and go in a building.

Hopefully they made it in such a way that you can actually do races/heists/play golf/etc. without other players rolling up on you with rocket launchers to ruin the party. Previously, GTA multiplayer was just kind of a big open free for all, and they'll need to implement something to prevent this new hotness from devolving into constant combat everywhere you go.

Oh yeah, cause Saints Row and GTA is made by the same devs on the same engine.......seriously?

They were touting something grand with GTA IV Online five years ago, and that turned out pretty mediocre. I would wait until this is released before forming an opinion. This could turn out to be a chaotic mess, just like its predecessor.

Neither of my consoles is in a position to be put online. I may need to rectify this.
