Loved the game, ambivalent towards this. Don't know why.

Hm. I think I'll skip it. Uh, this video, not the DLC. The Last of Us ended up blowing me away after months of my reluctance and naysaying. I think I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this. Plus it might be cool to go in not really knowing what to expect. Kind of wish I didn't even know the premise.

This is going to turn into loli/yuri and it's going to be fucking weird, or at least done in a weird way.

It's comes out on fucking Valentine's Day, c'mon!

Gotta be honest, as somebody that ranks The Last of Us as one of his favourite stories in a game.. this opening scene seems kinda weak. I know it's super early to judge the DLC as a whole, but this bit felt really forced and weird. Ellie doesn't sound surprised at all, then suddenly sounds like she's on the verge of crying. Surely in a situation where somebody you haven't seen in several weeks bursts into your room, the former would become apparent before the latter? And I dunno, were there really that many scenes in the first game where characters just stood idle in a room speaking directly at eachother? I thought there was always a little more movement going on there.

Super minor complaints, and I hope in the end they're barely noticable. Just a shame they decided to pick a story everyone who played TLoU knows the ending to.

I'm excited but somewhat agree with you. Especially the way they'll handle combat in this could end up undermining Ellie's arc in the main game.

You know, I forgot how fantastic the animation and character models in this game were. Seriously, look at them blinking, looking around hesitantly, the way their eyes move, it's like holy shit, it almost looks real.

Apparently they want to make the combat in this game harder than anything in the main game, while also making it more light hearted than the main game. Before watching this I thought that was a bit off, but now I can kinda see how they'll be able to pull it off.

Ashley Johnson does a pretty good job at sounding like a kid with Ellie, but whoever they have playing Riley does not sound one bit like a kid. They're supposed to be like 12-13, right? She sounds 30.

Yeah, it's pretty insane how much Naughty Dog has managed to squeeze out of pretty old hardware. I seriously can't wait for their next game on new hardware, and a new the last of us would be great in this regard.

Well if it's a prequel that means no Joel. I'm all for that. Assuming playing as Ellie isn't too difficult skill wise.

This game gets on my nerves. I bought it because of the high praise here and was surprised and disappointed to learn that it was actually a very bare bones stealth game. Then, after the fact, it turns out people just loved it for the story and agree that the gameplay is pretty much like being stabbed in the face with a screwdriver. That would have been real nice to know at the same time as the game was being called the best thing ever, guys.

That's ridiculous. I, among many other people, loved TLoU for both its story and gameplay, which I think complimented each other rather nicely.
