I think you might be over exaggerating just a bit. Early Xbox and PS3 games looked like really good Xbox and PS2 games before they started using the power of the entire system. This already looks better than anything that came out on PS3 and Xbox, besides maybe a handful of titles.

This and Watchdogs are two of my most wanted games before christmas.

I laughed when he said you can now see where you are hiding by the movement of the plants, then why can't the AI see you? These games are too easy

i aint gonna sit here and argue about this, but some of that butthurt was justified, as that game was extremely disappointing.

Or everyone got really butthurt after assassins creed 3 bombing out.

Looking cool, but i honestly doubt that the engine is "simulating" so many things at once.

Also: Dynamic foliage, now you can see where you sneak! And the enemies don't notice that foliage moving? :D

I really wish this was just some random pirate game, because I don't think I can stomach yet another Assassins Creed, and I actually love this series.

It's cool how they show a little bit of how the tech works in this video. When the character was running around on that ship and snapping from object to object, a lot of how movement works in the AC series started to make more sense from a design perspective.

I don't like the annualisation of this series, but that def. looks like a game worth getting for next generation.

I've only just started the artisan & assassins stuff and I thought that may be the case of introducing it but not properly explaining it. The things I'm really disliking are the stupid optional side missions to get full sync. Sometimes you'll get one in a moment and not even notice it only to then fail. I too would like to see how it performs. I played 1, 2 and Brotherhood on 360 and they were mostly fine but playing AC3 on my PS3 is fine for the most part but I've noticed the frame rate drop quite bad but only during slow scenes such as conversations. I should point out that i'm only playing AC3 due to PS+, I originally had zero interest in it after seeing how little the series had really moved on since 2.

@mrcraggle: And the weird thing is they never explain a lot usefull information either, like how to level up your artisans or recruit new assassins, I found both of these out just messing around in the enviroment.

As long as the game looks at least similiar to these trailers and runs well i'll be happy. (I think they've said 1080p & 60fps for PS4, and presumably XB1)

I'm curious how this game will run on Xbox 360 & PS3, Considering how bad AC3 ran.

This tech looks cool, especially the foliage, but nothing about this game is grabbing me. It just looks like they've taken AC3 and added a pirate theme. After 10+ hours of AC3 I'm finally starting to get into it but they treat the player like they've never played a game before, slowly introducing each mechanic and I still don't think I'm done yet.

@humanity: seriously. I hate guessing what they are running on in these gameplay vids. It's nice they said explicitly that its next gen for this one.....

I've never been excited for an Assassin's Creed game. These trailers are seriously pushing me towards making a pre-order that I can't afford.

It's a PC. Even though we've seen live gameplay demos, much of what you're seeing here are likely scripted events/scenes that are running in engine but under the best possible conditions.

Guess it's about time for the daily AC4 video.

They have done so many trailers but this one was actually good, the display of tech was interesting from both the info being spoken and the visuals onscreen, good on ya ubi, now..shut up please.

Next gen graphics sure do look real nice. I wonder how poor this'll all look in 5 years when everyone's figured out how to use the new consoles properly. Like how at the time Kameo and Perfect Dark 0 looked really really nice but have aged terribly. Well, Perfect Dark 0 has, I bet Kameo still looks pretty great.

Wow, this was a stunning video. I hope it translates that well into the PS4 version. I have a pretty sweet PC, but I kinda just want things to play on my PS4. We'll see...
