Flappy I just just finished the import And I can tell you that it does not suck. If you didn't like the other two at all than you won't like this one. So don't think it's going to change your mind.

Arustysumo honestly this game does not look good at certain times. It looks far worse than XIII-2 and light years under XIII..The places that do look nice really are bad ass but when they don't..They really don't lol.

This looks crazy, there's a lot going on here from the rockstar gameplay docu/walkthrough trailer style of narrator and format to all the westernized gameplay mechanics being added like realtime combat and an open world. One the one hand these things are an obvious evolution to what Final Fantasy has been for a long time and it's already done some of these things already like the combat system changes, but all together like this seems crazy. I haven't played a Final Fantasy game in a very long time and unfortunately I probably won't be able to play this one either unless it gets hella rad reviews and I feel like hooking my ps3 or 360 up again to play it. If it gets decent reviews and word of a next gen version (Xbox One) I'd be more likely to play it I think, here's hoping for that?

Speculating on how long they have been releasing trailers it seems like the game has been close to done for a long time so maybe the turn around for a next gen version could be fast, maybe within a year and a half?

I do wanna play a Final Fantasy game because there really isn't anything like them elsewhere, and the games that are similar are kinda weirdly all clones of themselves all in a very similar art style (anime in tone) and mostly for the ps3 only, or japan only also.

From what I have seen in gameplay coming out of japan, the writing is the worst it's ever been. Ever. The combat seems the best it's ever been out of the FF13 games, but that isn't saying much in my opinion.

Lightning has pretty terrible voice acting, though maybe it's actually the whole game.

Well, wasn't her entire backstory in FFXIII-2 that she was a traveling merchant that was cursed to spend eternity dressed as a chocobo selling goods that would somehow preserve/alter the fate of the world due to the fact that she would eventually sell to potentially great heroes? She's basically stuck in a capitalist time-loop. She's pretty miserable when you talk to her too.

So i'm not so sure about the story here, but mechanically it seems interesting? If this is SE testing the waters of a more dynamic combat system and open world before 15 is finished I'll gladly give it a shot.

Works for me. Even if this one manages to disappoint, I can dig myself into a deeper hole by putting all of my faith into Drakengard 3.

Even if the games are ass, at least the soundtracks will be decent! Praise be to Square Enix!

A friend told me the ending was crazy and dumb even by Final Fantasy standards, I didn't believe him. Then I watched it. He was not wrong.

I watched the last extended demo they released on YouTube because the GB player was butchering it, and there were just... so goddamn many creepy comments about the outfit selection.

As a die hard FF fan, who even thought the two FF13s weren't completely terrible and still enjoyed them for the most part (though they're among the worst of the series), this looks like it might be pretty lame. Seems like they're just trying to copy western rpgs and probably going to fail at it, also for some reason it looks way uglier than the previous games and the voice acting is cringe worthy... seems like a half ass attempt at a cash grab.

I can't imagine the combat can be very deep or strategic with only 1 character on the field, I don't come to FF games for mindless action I wish they would get over this idea they have to copy western rpgs like Skyrim and make their combat more "actiony" to make a decent rpg, the combat in games like Skyrim sucks ass, it's the other stuff that's good. Also, more teen Hope, god.damn.it.

Only a slight glimmer of hope that this game might actually be decent. Please bring on FF15 and save the series.

Man, I guess we're in a day and age where SE needs a 5min video basically reading off what appears to be the contents from the back of the box.

Looks much better than the previous 13 games, but I wouldn't be surprised if the guy reading off this crap didn't kill himself after the last take, unless he was handed like 20k.

What I really want, to really care about a Final Fantasy world as much as i did FFIX is for them to end the game with the realization that all final fantasy games are linked in some grand design. Like some kind of Tails of Symphony shit. Or some kind of Full Metal Alchimist thing.

Revealing that one world affects the other, give me a reason to care about the franchise as a whole as opposed to three episodes. And all this playing into nastualiga would eventualy make sence. As opposed to just a cop out.

I actually love the cheesiness of this. It looks like fun. Maybe not $60 fun, but $20 or less fun for sure.

So it seems that in the Final Fantasy universe Humans can mate with Chocobos and the offspring is always a female half-human/half-chocobo hybrid with large (human) breasts. Which begs the questions: 1. Humans fucking Chocobos, really? 2. What happens when a hybrid mates with either a human or a chocobo? 3. Chocobos fucking Humans, really?

I just had to add that my Emu self would love to get on some of that cute Chocobo tail, though.

You know what, FFIIIX-2 was a pretty great game, not a great Final Fantasy game, but it was pretty great how dumb it got. Time traveling to places, beating bosses before you even fought them. It was all very Doctor Who.

But if you were expecting a Final Fantasy game, it was bad.
